Wisp Dungeon

Introduction

This is short game created for an artificial intelligence paper utilizing a finite state machine for the first time.

Game

You are an explorer, hunting for the legendary treasure within what you believed to be an abandoned dungeon. However, magical and dangerous Wisps have inhabited the dungeon, making your hunt far more difficult.

You must do your best to reach the depths of the dungeon and avoid the wisps, which can be done by avoiding their light. But be careful, wisps feed on light, becoming more dangerous, so extinguish the torches and candles within the dungeon to make your task easier.

Controls

A, Left            - Move left
D, Right         - Move right
W, Up            - Move up
S, Down        - Move down

Spacebar      - Blow out torch/candle
                      - Pick up life potion

ESC               - Exit game

R                   - Restart game/level (when prompted)
