A few Weeks Ago I already read the Beta of Part 2 and I have to say: Isuna Hasekura Continues to inspire with the Story. Attention, this Review contains Spoilers for the first Part.
Title: World End Economica Episode 2 Developer: Spicy Tails Genre: Near Future, Romance, Sci-Fi Length: Medium (10 – 30 Hours) Premiere: 11.08.2012 (Japan) Story: Roughly 16 years after the people who emigrated to the Moon had settled themselves.
An age where a great number of people are chasing their wild dreams within the great skyscraper at humanity's frontier.
A young boy named Haru, born and raised on the Moon, is one of those people chasing his wildest dream.
His dream, is to stand where no man has before.
In order to do so, he needed capital. A ludicrous amount of capital.
The boy named Haru was facing a place that gathered up people's desires. Sometimes it granted them, and sometimes it crushed them mercilessly.
There are only two key rules that govern that land.
The first rule, is to never take a loss.
The second rule, is to never forget the first.
Only those who followed these rules were able to obtain enormous wealth.
The stock market.
A place that has gathered crowds of persistant men and women for centuries.
Plot: World End Economica Episode 2 takes a Time Leap after the first Installment. Hal is now older and more adult and no longer active in the Stock Market. After the Events and Failures in the first Part, he is more or less a broken Man. Especially that he has let Hagena down makes him finish. Chris, Too, has grown older and has continued to work on Hagena's Program, allowing it to generate enough Money to keep the Church alive in new Premises. Chris and Hal plus a new Character take the Lead Roles in this Sequel. Since Hal has become something Of a legend By now, he is being dragged back into the Stock market. Whether things are going better this time than in the first Part, I don't want to reveal.
In any Case, the Story is again well and more exciting. For those who have already liked the first Part, World End Economica Episode 2 will also be a great Joy, even if Hagena unfortunately doesn't feature in it.
Illustrations: The Illustrations don't really differ in the first Part. Here, the same solid Work was delivered as before. Due to the fact that this time you play briefly on a small Space station and you see a little more of the Moon, there is also a stronger futuristic Touch, which I missed on the first Part of the CGs. The new Characters have also got all pretty designs and also the Development of the Characters, from quite Young to now a bit older has succeeded well.
Characters: Hal and Chris are already known from World End Economica Episode 1. Both, of course, took something out of the Prequel, but are also now progressing credibly. What I was supposed to make of the new Character, Eleanor, wasn't so clear to me before. I saw them first only as a cheap Hagena replacement, at the end of the day the Story around it developed quite interesting and also brings a bit more Light into the complete Action. Although she is a really good Character, I couldn't really comprehend a few of her Decisions. At The end of the day, I couldn't fully make friends with her until the End.
Sound: There hasn't really been much change in the Soundtrack. It still fits perfectly with the Scenes and this time I didn't have the Feeling that there have been too many silent Passages. Overall, it seemed a bit better mixed from Music than the Prequel. The Music has generally promised me again.
Conclusion: Since I was already a Fanboy after the first Part, I find it difficult to find Any errors in World End Economica. Episode 2 was definitely a worthy Follow-up. I just hope Sekai Project doesn't allow itself another Year to release the third Installment. Meanwhile, there is already a powerful Delay in the Release schedule ...
Although Episode 2 ends with a Cliffhanger, I don't think it's as bad as that of Episode 1. I can really only recommend World End Economica Episode 2 to anyone who has already read Episode 1. Of Course, I can also continue to recommend it to all Episode 1 that hasn't read it yet.
