About

The classic roleplaying games Vampire: The Masquerade and Mage: The Ascension enter the digital present with a dual-pack of interactive fiction by a few of today’s most interesting fantasy writers.
Vampire: The Masquerade: We Eat Blood And All Our Friends Are Dead is a chilling story written and illustrated by award- winning authors Zak Smith and Sarah Horrocks.
Told entirely from a mobile messaging perspective, We Eat Blood is a sharp, mature and often terrifying story about your first nights as unwilling predator and prey. Hunted by unknown enemies and driven by an alien hunger, will you sever your ties with the mortal world or try to cling to your former life? Will you join ancient conspiracies, or turn the tables on forces older than the written word? Terrible power lies within your grasp, but there is always a price to pay.
— The temptation is real.
Set in modern-day Sweden, Mage: The Ascension: Refuge by critically-acclaimed author Karin Tidbeck, lets you experience today's social and political upheavals while awakening to the power of True Magick - the ability to shape reality itself through your force of belief. Many will try to recruit you into a secret war where human consensus itself is the battlefield. Your actions and choices will have profound consequences on the world and people around you... assuming madness and paradox doesn't claim you first.
— Safety or sacrifice - the choice is yours.

World of Darkness Preludes: Vampire and Mage reviews and comments

This Review refers only to Vampire the Masquerade. As a big Fan of the Vampire the Masquerade franchise and since I also like Interactive Fiction, I bought this game right away. Unfortunately, I have to say that I don't think it's good. The Idea of letting the whole game run off in SMS chat boxing I found at first well very very very very that it became quite quickly ridiculous and unrealistic (especially while the Fights or when you are trapped). Another Problem is that I don't know if the Main Char and his Friends and enemies are Men and women or something in between (I felt that all the people are a Bisexulle Transgender mass that is somewhere between Nihistic anarchiums And blunt violence stand) For many, so as vll is unimportant but for me it is an important point to experience the Background, Properties and History of the individual Characters (especially if it is based on text) so that I can read into the Story. The * Decision-making possibilities * (if you can call them that-_-) have virtually no long time and if you make a * wrong * decision, the game gives you an Instant game over. On Art. Vll 16 Year old art students find this AvantGarde Sign Stalk but I found it disturbing and atmospheric (then please without drawings) At the Price if Mage the Ascension is not WESENTLICH longer than Vampire the Masquerade are 10 euro Clearly too much. Conclusion: The only reason why I don't return this game is that I am a fan of the series and hope that even more Vampire the Masquerade will come out in parts. But if it's about Interactive Fiction again, please play like Choice of Robots sharing the two Choice of Vampires or the Heros Rise Trilogy. There you can see how to do it right.
