This game was made for the #GMTKJam2021, however much of the content has yet to be implemented. I plan revisiting this game in the near future to finish some features. For now , this is just being uploaded to make accessible for a small circle of friends.

YonBon (placeholder name) is an experimental demo that utilizes UE5, centered around the theme of connected together. Two particular demons, Bon and Yon, take this meaning to heart literally as they share a soul-bond so strong, their souls are physically connect with one another. Yon and Bon must drag, toss and fling each other to reach their destination.

CONTROLS:

  1. Control Bon (WASD)
    1. A/D = Directional Input
    2. W = Jump
    3. S = Crouch
  2. Control Yon (IJKL/Directional-Keys)
    1. J/L = Directional Input
    2. I = Jump
    3. J = Crouch

MECHANICS:

  1. Slingshot
    1. (1) Have 1 character (Yon or Bon) crouched, which will keep them stationary.
    2. (2) Move the other character away from the crouched-character.
      1. Once both players have enough distance, the rope unifying the characters will change from Green to Yellow.
    3. Release the movement-keys on the second character.
      1. The character will be flung past the crouched-character at high speeds.
    4. Release the crouch-action on the crouched-character to send both characters flying across the map.

      1. Heavier Weight
      2. Low Jump-Distance
      3. Horizontal Fling-Movement
    2. Yon (Green Skull)
      1. Lighter Weight
      2. High Jump-Distance
