About

“Isn't it so painful, to see that you are so alive when the conclusion has already begun?”

Based on the creator's experience with a cancer patient comes another heart wrenching tale by Afterthought Studios.

You, With Me is set mainly in Singapore of an expat couple who had the perfect plan, a perfect getaway for the holidays. However, everything is turned into dust as news come out of the main character's illness.

Truly, will pretending that everything is normal give you a sense of normalcy? Or perhaps, confronting your fears is the best thing to do?

Afterthought Studios are comprised of talented and experienced creators - The very same people who developed Forgotten Not Lost and published many other games such as Cupid and Who Is Mike for other creators.

You, With Me - A Kinetic Novel reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Russian
I will Start with the fact that the previous game from these developers-Forgotten not Lost-I did not like too much, but you, With Me was worse on all fronts. Boring Tymomotina, set out dry, fresh language with constant transfusion from empty to empty. At First I was fastened and patiently reading, but soon I turned this verbiage into a background and started to do more interesting things. Then came back and got something diagonally. The Story begins with the fact that the hero learns that he has the last stage of cancer, there is almost no chance to heal, to live a maximum of six months. In Short, everything is bad, you can wrap yourself in a sheet and crawl into the cemetery. Which He is accepted to do with enviable diligence. This is Where the main problem lies: a sharp start, without any introductory part. We are not really acquainted with the characters, do not show their "happy Life before", and just put before the fact: The dude fell ill, let him sympathize. Which, of course, does not cause any sympathy. Soon in the history of the relatives, and the reaction to them personally I was from the category "who all these people and what do I care about them?" In General, the story has not been asked from the beginning. And the farther, the more short story rolled into the Brazilian soap opera with hand-washing, template plot moves and certainly happy Pink finale, which the developers themselves and prospers in the first seconds Promorozik. All present drowned in snot and tears (alternately from grief, then from Joy), and all this so factitiously and Nastuno, and even with such details, that at times I felt like a lover, forgotten by unfaithful wife in a closet, peeping into a brush between and forced to eaveswash on "bloody chairs", tablets of flatulence and contraceptive pills. I would have worn it, but when the protagonist began to blame the strangeness of his wife's behavior on PMS, the novella turned into one big anecdote. Alas, not funny at all. As for the technical side, there is nothing good. It seems that the developers put a bolt on their project. Dialogs are located in the window at the bottom, everything else is dropped by a solid wall of text on the whole screen, and without any paragraphs, which makes reading very difficult. Heroes are so talkative that sometimes their speeches crawl outside the window, and read the end of the phrase is not possible. There are errors, typos and blunders like layering sprite characters on each other. Apotheosis of all this Bacchanalyi-the final scene in which the son of Heroes named Sean in the dialog box identified as Natasha. I don't get out Of diapers, I'm a transvestite. Lord, what am I reading at all?! With Graphics too unlucky. For me, accustomed to Japanese vn with cute girls, the local drawing was too harsh. In the end I do not know. Whether I am so heartless, callous and soulless, or whether the developers have done a bad novel. Absolutely not recommend.
