Tower Defense:You love the frenzy of the tower defenses? Yrminsul is a fast paced tower defense in full 3D with a lot of content: +30 enemies, three types of enemy armies (Goblins, Monsters and Elves), 15 upgradable turrets, 16 spells and +30 levels with unique moods and design...Tactics:Before each attack, you have to choose carefully 4 turrets and 4 spells to use while defending. Knowing the enemies' strenght is important as you can go for single target damage or area of effect havoc; magic or physic damage; slow, stuns and other forms or control... Each army attacking you has its own strenghts and weaknesses, you have to know them to succeed!Strategy:Choose carefully which Island to invade, spy on the enemy to evaluate his forces. In Yrminsul, your opponents try to reclaim the islands you control. You will have to defend your territory from your enemies' sneaky attacks. At the same time, you will invade their Islands. You can go back and forth between the islands because the universe is persistent: when you build a turret, it will stay on its island unless the enemies gain control of the island.Resource management:In Yrminsul, you have to manage one main resource: Infamy. The infamy is your potential evilness and allows you to build defenses, to research new towers and spells, to spy on your enemies.... You have to manage carefully your infamy because you need to unlock new powers to face the strongest enemies. But doing so, would you have sufficient resources to defend your territory?Universe and backstory:As a RTS campaign, Yrminsul has a storyline and a universe you can explore. Each of the +30 levels has its own details and secrets, and more than 10 interactive comics unveil the story of Yrminsul!

Yrminsul reviews and comments

Gameplay Yrminsul is a Tower Defense Game of a slightly different Kind. The Game starts with a little Story, then throws one into a Tutorial and then on to the Map. In the Beginning you start with 1 Tower and fight the Opponents like in a classic Tower Defense Game. After the Tutorial you come to the World Map, which has more than 30 islands. Each Island is a Level that can occur in different Ways. There are 3 different Island Colors: Grey: Secured Area Blue: Defense Area Red: Attack area In Yrminsul you have to take Over areas (Islands), so to speak you have to set an Island (blue) to attack an Island (red). For This you come to the Map and have to defend a magical Tree like in a classic TD Game. If you win, you get the attacked Area, if you lose the Set area in addition. Each Area increases the maximum Value of the "Infamy" (Infamy is a Kind of Currency used to improve Turmupgrade/Skills and also to upgrade towers in Combat/and also the Infamy per Round you get. Unlike in other TDs, you don't get a defined Initial value every map here, but you have to manage turn-based charging/during and also between the Maps. Here you have to be careful because the Opponent can also try to reclaim a Country, if you then go into battle without Infamy, that can quickly backfire. Another very special Feature is the durability of the Towers, so the Game stores all the Towers on a Map and if you have to defend them, the Towers are still present. From my Point of view, you can see Yrminsul as a Kind of mix of Tower Defense, Strategy and a bit of management. Pro:-Boss Struggles-Classic TD-Stratego similar in TD Range novel map principle-opponents with many different Characteristics-over 30 maps with different Game paths-Turmeischaft/Combat Behavior very different and need to be strategic Be used-Story for Comic Lovers-Gimmicks like additional Infamy by Killing animals possible-Every Tower upgradeable-Additional strategic Possibilities through active and passive Skills-Steam Achievements Con:-Graphic I sometimes don't think very much Beautiful (also Clipping Effects, Texts poorly readable,...)-Sounds Of Monstern/towers partly annoying-game becomes very heavy at the end of the first area and when you reach the Tipping point rather slightly simple-played through after about 8h-Info unfortunately a bit lean, you come In my Opinion, sometimes difficult to get into the game because you have the necessary information-Seems to have a few More Bugs which are already in The works of the Developers. Conclusion: A Game that shows its strengthening only after 1-2h but can then convince, unfortunately in some Places the Finishing touches are still missing and it is a bit short and after Half-time a little too simple, however the TD Principle mixed with sharing of Stratego, turn-based and Management can quickly convince Strategy fans. Thumbs up. 7.5/10 If you liked this Review, follow our Review Program http://steamcommunity.com/groups/-German_Gamer_Community-
