1000 Amps review
by Jamesbuc

Cute and whimsical little metroidvania game. A bit in the short and easy side though.

Product received for free "1000 Amps"-is a sweeping puzzle-platformer, with an original cute design, the structure of a la "Metroidvania" and a curious concept. You play as a small mania robot, which lights on the locations, thus illuminating it. For Passage there are more than 150 rooms, each of which has its own unique puzzle, only deciding which you will ignite the light inside. I Have to say, to light the whole tree, you have to sweat a lot. First the passage goes smoothly, but the farther you go, the more twisted the riddles become. In Some rooms you can easily get lost in what to do. All entrances and exits are blocked-neither to jump, nor to climb. And it may happen that you have an awkward step to fail somewhere and fly five rooms, without the possibility to slow down at least one, before you just stop and even in some sort of deal. It's just running out at times, especially in the early stages. Fortunately, the game has upgrades, such as Teleportatora, which make life a little easier, but mostly they are designed to overcome previously insurmountable obstacles in the rooms, where there seems to be no logical solution. By the Way, it's a definite problem for a casuuer like me. Of Course, it is a sin to complain, but could at least hint that you get there early, you do not have the right amplifier, and then jump like a fool, and you feel an idiot that the puzzle is not solved in any way that you have. There are Still serious problems with navigation. The Map is strange, it is easier on the usual map to find a single person in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, than to understand where you are and where you go. Of the cons, connected with the gameplay I would mention some of the platform sections that are made so koryavo that sometimes without a special bugs level does not pass. The fact is that when you leave the room and immediately return-some blocks remain highlighted. Always different and have to hope for good luck, so it worked. And by the way, the game has bugs and even sections in which it is possible to get by chance, even without having the necessary in it to pass the ability, and apparently stay in it to live, because it is impossible to get out of it. At least, without the ability that this room should already be, but when you are being kicked back and forth without being able to escape-even this happens. But let's be good. The Music and sounds in the game are pleasant and melodic, a real feast for the ears. In Some locations is hidden chic wall painting, which can be illuminated and amazed by the beauty. The Gameplay, too, except for the name, is also pleasant. If you do not fall into the impossible for the survival of the situation, everything is fine. Rooms are pleased with a variety of puzzles, there are new conditions, like a couple of seconds disappearing blocks or some tinsel, wandering around the screen and extinguishing the highlighted blocks, if you do not have time to ignite all of them. In general, with a variety of complete order. Slightly straining the unity of style without any changes, given the number of rooms, but in the monotony it is difficult to fit, because in many platformer do as well, and in another setting this concept is not implemented. Although it would be possible to simply repaint the blocks in a different color... As A result, the game turned out with the roughness of the implementation and a little less friendly to the player than its appearance promises. However, it works well in its genre: the puzzles are diverse, the environment is enchanting and with its architecture. I would like more rooms with painting, but so they look unique. Pleasant sound and picture, high complexity from some initial to final stages. In General, if you like puzzles and your hands grow out of the right place for platformers – don't pass by. "1000 Amps" is perfect for you
