Unfortunately I waited too long to try to finish this game. It is rather odd too as I started getting back into playing just a month before they brought the servers down. Just another reason online biased games are a gamble. Overall I think it was a decent game but I was never big into the online components. Driving was solid though.

After 24 Hours of Playing In the second "Closed PC Beta" Now a small Review. To call The Game an MMO is not quite right, in my Opinion. If you define MMO as a Game where you always have to be online and have the Ability to solve Tasks together with other Players, the Designation applies. Personally, I think that, for example, an Individualization of The Chars (in this Case of Cars) would have to be evaluated with. With The Crew, however, this is only possible to a limited extent. If you take a Golf GTI as an example and would compare ten Players with the same level of play, these Will differ only in small Nuances (Color, other Attachments, one will have a little more Grip, the other will have slightly better Acceleration) Contra: Control: If a Car gets into the sling todling, an Interception is not possible. Then you can only watch. Especially at high Speeds, this is extremely annoying and would need to be revised. Graphics engine: If you are a Graphics guru and always want top Graphics, you already have to have a pretty good PC at The Crew, otherwise the Graphics Are not at a current Level. Without extremely high Edge Smoothing And various other Effects, the Game is quite ugly and would have been rated as good a few Years ago. When you compare the Game to NFS-Rivals or even to Battlefield, it generally performs poorly. I find the Night Effects really ugly-the Graphics are not just darkened in the Case, but coated with an unrealistic pixel dot filter that looks like you want to trim a graphic on old. Doesn't look really good, to put it mildly. Even with all the features enabled, there are Ups and Downs. Your own Car is always good to look at, but Backgrounds are sometimes very ugly (distant Ships or Buildings etc.). The other Cars, in my Opinion, could also be more talented. Weather Effects: None-I hope it's because of the Beta Status that doesn't exist yet. After All, you have weather effects in every good Current Car race today. UPlay: Regular crashes, various Error messages. Sometimes the Game runs for hours without any Problems, then constant Crashes again. With Kaspersky 2014, The Crew doesn't come to terms with anything, even if you deactivate just about anything or create Exits, no Chance. If you use Kaspersky, you have to disable the Virus killer before the Start of the Game. The updated 2015 Version runs smoothly. Pro: Good sense Of Speed, very nice Sensitive control at low Speeds. Various Camera perspectives. Huge navigable Game world, basically you can drive to any Point of the Map, so really Open World. Good Tuning Possibilities, various Attachments, colour Schemes and small Individualizations possible. All Missions can be completed in both single and Multiplayer. The Side Missions can be repeated at any time to improve the achieved Status (Bronze, Silver, Gold-corresponding Rewards). Animated World-Planes, Animals, Passers-by, etc. are everywhere and convey a truly lively world. Verdict: The Crew is not a Simulation. Although the Cars control each different way, it is clearly an Arcade Racer. If you like titles like NFS, Test Drive Unlimited, ColinMcRae or similar Races, you'll definitely get happy here. Explorations of the Map, Unlocks of Cars and Tuning Parts, various Side Missions, etc. motivate over Hours. Unfortunately, I can't judge what the Final Content looks like, but already in the second Beta the Game is extremely Fun. The Biggest Drawback, in my Opinion, is the Graphics Engine, which unfortunately does not reach current TITLES even with a high-bred PC. Some will now note that it may not be as detalented because of the MMO Aspect, but Titles like NFS Rivals also have a constant Online activity and Ability to act with other Players, and look far better visually and Much more detalented (E.g. leaves flying in Forests, etc.). Only the sheer Size of the game World Does not justify this Graphic. In my opinion, the Graphics in the Shop or on various Websites can only have been created by SLI Graphics cards or absolute Top Cards in extreme Resolutions, well over 1080p. If you play the Game, even with all the enabled Possibilities, in FullHD, you don't come close to achieving that Level Of graphics. Despite all The Criticism on my part, I can only repeat-alsolut recommended-TOP.
