This is interesting because it has the concept of rogue-like games, and mixes it with a tactical, chess-like element. Definitely fun, could use a couple more things to keep it interesting, but well worth the $2

A small game that exploits the modern color codes wonderfully by marrying it to pixel-art graphics that flatter the retina. The gameplay is simple, but especially suitable for casual gaming on mobile. A little bit of strategy on a mesmerizing music, there is nothing like it! In short a small nugget given its price, jump on it if you are a fan of the genre!

A very nice nostalgic Graphics and soothing, matching music form a very nice Shell for the Game.
The Game concept itself has something of Chess and is quickly understood and implemented. The Level Number is still quite low, but this does not mean that it is quickly played through. The Level Of difficulty increases and you always start at Level 1. However, this does not disturb the Fun of The game that the Levels are always built up a little differently.
Another big Advantage is the non-existent In-App Purchases. Once 99 Cents and you can play it 100%, which is unfortunately no longer common and give.
All in all, I will keep the App and hope that Updates will follow with more beautiful Levels.

The gameplay, design and feel is great, but you could beat the entire thing in ten to fifteen minutes. After you beat it there's no more unlocks or additional challenges. That's it, you've beaten it.
True, it's random each time, but how long will that keep your interest when you've beaten it and nothing else the game has to offer can surprise you?
I want to like this game more. It has such potential. If beating it would unlock another tower with15 floors, a different color pallette, and an added two additional monster types to the rooster with more difficult patterns, that could be interesting.
Then after beating that tower it would unlock a 20 floor tower with a couple more new enemies. And after beating those it could unlock a harder mode where you only had one shield.
Different character unlocks could also be interesting, like a mage that would have mana instead of shields and could conjure a magic barrier around itself to shield it from any attack by tapping the player, but would require the skip of a turn. Not saying I got sick of the existing character, but an additional way of playing would keep my interest.
Like I said, I think the game has a lot of potential with the recipe it has going, but it's not quite there yet.
But despite that it was worth the money I spent on it.
