As metroidvanias go, this is a hidden gem.
Snappy controls, great level design, good length and a slapping soundtrack make this one of my favourites from the genre.

An all-round Successful Metroidvania. The Controls worked flawlessly and the Level Of difficulty was challenging But fair. The 16-Bit graphics are very handsomely designed and you can recognize every Opponent and every Obstacle right away.
The Level Design is typically generously intertwined for the Genre, but was never confusing. Only the Backtracking (especially the Collection of the 50 Relics) can be a bit long-winded. These are usually not too badly hidden, but mostly out of Reach and only gain weapons with later upgrades, which is why they are forgotten rather than overlooked.
The German Voiceover Hooked a bit, as the Dialogues were occasionally grammatically somewhat oddly worded. However, this is easy to cope with as the Game doesn't really turn out text-heavy. The Dialogues were always limited to the most Important and hardly slowed down the Flow of the Game.
I haven't seen the Film on which the Game is based, but I've only heard bad things from. I absolutely can't claim that from the Game. It's a Lot of Fun and I can highly recommend it to any Fan of the Genre.

Top! Pure Nostalgia The Mummy Demastered plays like a Mix of Turrican, Probotector, Metroid and Castlevania Symphony of the Night. The Whole thing is also Accompanied by an extremely gentle Soundtrack, which could be straight from the 80s.
There's not much to say about The Mummy, I try it in Short Form anyway: Optics-nostalgic 16 bit pixel graphics-very many Details and visually varied Levels-fat Effects a la Probotector and Turrican Music/Sound-First Cream, always coherent and added up Adding to the retro flair-The Sound FX of Weapons, Surroundings and Opponents is deluxe Gameplay-the Gameplay is perfectly implemented, At No Point in the Game has the Gameplay disappointed me conclusion The only "Negative" about The Mummy Demastered Is that it is so short. I had it through after 8.5 Hours. You can still collect all The Relics and try to uncover the entire Cards and I guess this will add about 2-4 Hours. The Mummy Demastered is worth it for anyone who grew up with Probotector, Metroid and Turrican, but also for Those who don't mind that the Game can also be unforgiving in places. It's not a rogue-like (what a Word) hardcore game, but it doesn't take one's hand either.
The boss fights are definitely my Highlights in the Game, the Paths to it are still exciting and demanding. The different Types of Weapons play fun and can, but do not have to be used according to situational use.
For short Entertainment I can fully recommend The Mummy Demastered, at the latest in a Sale you have to "strike":)
