NHL Legacy Edition review
by Notly

At first glance, this game may seem like an exact copy of «NHL 14» and «NHL 15», packaged into a compact edition called the «Legacy Edition».

Although I don't have much experience with «NHL 15», being an owner of «NHL 10» and older versions starting from «NHL 03», I can confidently say that this game is actually better, significantly better.

The gameplay has been improved, especially for those who enjoy playing as a goalie. Yes, playing as a goalie is truly captivating and intense. Each time, you strive to anticipate the shot. There's a sense of better control and the ability to make more saves. The game introduces new rules about playing on the ice, so if you've been expecting that, it's cool. The gameplay has become smoother for forwards, and collisions feel more realistic (and they actually involve goalies, which looks spectacular).

The music in this game isn't very good, which is sad considering that «NHL 04», «NHL 09», «NHL 10», and some other years had great compositions, even if you hadn't heard them before playing this game.

Overall, this is the best version for the old generation of consoles (Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3). It's the finest and final edition.

From the outside, it may look like «NHL 14» and «NHL 15», but when you start playing, the experience is completely different.
