The "feel" of APE OUT is unique, it makes you feel powerful, untouchable and hectic like no other game. The audio goes hand in hand with the gameplay, every kill you get you will hear the sound of a crash cymbal, its like a rush of adrenaline. The gameplay and feel of APE OUT is indescribable, is definitely worth your time and money.

Presentation is on point. Both the minimalistic artstyle and the high energy dynamic soundtrack are fantastic. Gameplay is simple, attempts go by fast and the game has the perfect length for its concept.

great little game. Fast, short but perfectly executed. It's totally a die and repeat but the lvl are short so u dont grow exaperation and it help to test other things and have fun with the game
It's ok to play for few hours. Simple but nice gameplay, very nice sound and sweet design.

7/10
I really really wanted to write a review on it but Jacob Geller (who is brilliant btw) says everything I could have said much more eloquently than I ever could have. WATCH IT.

Product received for free Ape Out-review Inspired by Hotline Miami, Gabe Cuzzillo part of an overhead view and a handful of actions to kick off a fast-paced Ballad of Wrath. Ape Out has only three mechanics, running, crushing and holding enemies, from these functions his game system anger evolving to deliver complicated situations that require some precision and good reflexes. The level of action is devilishly high, we will practically be enclosed in a prolonged labyrinth procedural saturated by hunters, and are not only simple humans with a network, but are well tanned with a huge variety of weapons; Pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, flamethrowers or rocket launchers. For this reason, it is important to think on the fly to act quickly, and thus avoid standing longer than enough as it could lead to a tragic end. On the other hand, the design of the scenarios is conveniently open, that is because it is composed of multiple layers with its own branches, with all the good and bad that this implies. Bennett Foddy exhibits his technique with exceptional art, a powerful minimalist style that evolves with well-maintained brushstrokes and impeccable completion. Each of his scenes begins as a blank canvas about to be knocked outed by the desire for freedom. Planes totally empty, but slowly come to life by the movements of the gorilla, actions that feel like a blow projecting the cruel charm of art. The Magic of Ape Out not only lies in the superlative artistic direction, but the sound section directed by Matt Boch with its relaxing, but rhythmic jazz melodies invade passion and a fervent desire for fury. The exciting journey of irrationality is perfectly balanced by the matrix of its instruments, the pleasure of the drums and the dynamics of the cymbals create the ideal scenery to boost the excessive doses of action to ridiculous points. Painting the walls of red as old Rick Taylor would say. Returning Digital has a special affection for the sadistic proposals, and Ape Out, is no exception. After all its attractive audiovisual we find a game that continually tunes the savagery in its most primitive state. In Short, Ape Out is a persistent melody unleashed by fury on a canvas of pure magic. The electrifying pace of action leaves a powerful but ephemeral adventure flowing. In Spite of this, during its intense chapters, Ape Out leaves the rod too high for the sublime effectiveness of its proposal. Practically pays tribute to his name and becomes the benchmark par excellence of the genre, Smash Them Up. * Simple, but fun Positive Points. * The electrifying dose of action. * Hold enemies and use them as shields is great. * A well-balanced difficulty curve. * The Design and Laberintico of their scenarios. * Visually looks like a moving painting. * Very well maintained sound Band. * A frantic and intense pace of play. Negative Points * A rather short campaign. To read the complete analysis proceed to the following link: PC Indie Master Race [pcindiemrace.com]
