Perfect for fans of Riven and Myst. Same types of puzzles, graphics and first-person gameplay.

When I first discover Quern, it was shortly after Steam Greenlight's Greenlighting. I watched the Videos, read some interesting ones and couldn't wait. In Between, Obduction came out of Cyan-which I also thought was very good, and then finally it was Quern's turn.
I bought Quern right in the first Few minutes after the Release and was excited from the Start ... And now that I've got it through after 13 Hours of Play, I'm just going there and away:)
What are the Points that excited me the most?
-Story: The Story is exciting, runs through the whole Game-sometimes you are torn, try to draw your own Conclusions And are mercilessly faced with the choice towards the End. What was too complex at Obduction from Cyan is relatively simple at Quern. But it's enough-it doesn't need any more. If you take Myst or Riven as a Role model, it comes closest to the Simplicity of the Quern story. And Riven is one of the best puzzle games ever. Or surely Quern?
-Puzzles: From today's puzzle games you are often used to the fact that the Solution is relatively simple, is nearby And, for example, does not require Backtracks (going back to previously found places and Puzzles). But not at Quern ... The Puzzles are crisp and get harder. But: In many Cases they are fair (although I, too, have needed 2-3 Hints). The Nice thing is: Some turse parts run like a red Ribbon through the whole Game and occur again and again, others are suddenly used again quite differently. And sometimes you even have to think around 3 Corners to even come up with the Idea of what the next Step is. You really have enough to puzzle;)-Graphics and Sound: From the Very beginning, Quern was a "Wow" effect. Very nicely designed, down to the Details. After 2-3 Hours maybe a "jo, the Island looks the same everywhere and on the Sea it is already grey." But let you just say so much: "on" the Island is only part ... And the others are graphically even more great. You have enough to see-and hear! Actuate table, both Sounds and Music, the Game is impressive. The Music fit very well everywhere and you were sometimes just looking forward to hearing a Piece again when you came past the appropriate Place.
-Interface: I Think that a very great Praise goes to the very well designed inventory system or the Use of the Items. The Idea of being able to select an inventory part with the Scroll wheel is pretty awesome:) Only small Shortcoming here: The Objects can be rotated around their own Axis, but not after the bottom. For very few Objects, it happens that you don't recognize their function immediately. But this is a Mecker at a very high Level:)
I also recorded my Playing in a Playlist on Youtube (Videos are not yet available to the End, as I put this Piece online). If you want to look in, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWgRPNSoMl-klVilu9rXNEiZZZ0IPmROL There is a big "Thumbs up" for this Game-please more of it:)
