Press X to Not Die review
by Mia Blais-Côté

“Press X to Not Die” is a funny, B-movie style FMV game. I had so much fun playing it and I like how one character mention at the end how many times you died. While it’s short, there is still replayability, with the difficulty modes, and if you want to find all the death scenes. Recommended to FMV fans.

Early Access Review Have bought the Game recently and today I finally got to Play. What you have to say about the Game is simply that X is not the only Button pressed in the Game. There are even key Combos. So basically a pure Quick-time event game-a Movie in which you take the Lead role, so to speak. To the Story: Something makes people in the City go crazy so they attack each other. We and some other People apparently didn't go crazy. In this little Story, you learn a lot about what it's all about-why People just get so crazy and go off each other. In general, the Story is extremely crazy. There are several Ways to play through the Story. There are some smaller Branches. The Goal of the Story, however, will always be the same Ending, I think. According to Statistics, I watched 55% of the Game at a Playing time of just under 30 Minutes until the End Of the game. That says that it certainly won't be a long Game when you explore everything. But... The Story is so crazy and so delicious that at least everyone will be satisfied who is a little bit on twisted Stories as well. The Game is not expensive and I find it worth it for this small Money. I definitely had a Lot of Fun in those first 30 Minutes and a Colleague who sat next to me also enjoyed himself deliciously at the Game. So-for me a clear Recommendation, although of course you shouldn't wait so much and go to it with a slightly smaller Expectation. For me personally, it was amusing

Early Access Review B-Movies and Games? Does this Go together? On "Press X To Not Die," you can say, "YES!" The Game is basically an interactive Film recorded with a Go-Pro Hero mounted on a Helmet. Short on the Story Intro: You wake up as an unnamed Figure in the 1St-person view as your Buddy comes to you. He warns you that everyone in the City is spinning through. The only thing he knows is that you should press X to avoid dying. With that, the Story goes off, too. You try to survive and have to make Decisions, react Quickly to push Shortcuts or run for your Life. The Game doesn't really take itself seriously, the Actors are (intentionally) bad and at some Points cuts can be seen when you have made a Decision. B-Movie Style As you know it. The Story is also, of course, from the Hell of B-Movie movies, and intends to be so thin and bad That Sharknado movies seem like filmed literary Masterpieces. Language is unfortunately English, but the Texts are translated into German. In some Places, I felt that the Sound was mixed somewhat quietly, but this doesn't bother any further. The Game time is somewhere at 20 to 30 Minutes per Pass. But Since you can't unlock everything in one Pass, you play several times. I think that you played through "Press X To Not Die" in 1.5 To 2 hours and unlocked all Achievements. All in all, I would like to make my Recommendation To "Press X To Not Die." The Game is funny in its B-Movie Art. Gamers will immediately understand some Innuendo and Film Fans will also find their Laughs.
