This Game can not only keep up with Classics like Sonic and Mario, but even surpasses them in some Points! The Game may not be very long, but every level, even every Level section, offers new things to discover! It's also quite demanding, but never unfair so the Balance between Frustration and Satisfaction is established.
Recommended for all Platformer Fans, or those who want to become one. Also the Graphics and the Sound are really not only the first Cream, no even the very first cream ever created, primordial cream, so to speak, so maybe even milk, after close Inspection maybe even a Cow, or a prehistoric Mammal Which as an ancestor The Cow existed.

So After I had heard so much of it and it didn't quite seem doof I ventured ranaway and was also nicth disappointed. I preferred to have drawn the Game in small doses that means 3-4 Levels per session, but it was Always fun, except when I was really not in The mood.
Well, what I want to say, even though I am someone who watches a game unheartawisely and then red of well-known Places again everything plays etc., it has motivated me to continue playing.
It Controls well, the Music is interesting enough etc. This is a Game I had also liked to buy for the full 20 Euros. The only Disappointment was that I didn't know that it should come after the KingKnight update and which is delayed, otherwise No more Knight Stories would come.

So, 5 Hours, 40 Minutes and 96 Deaths later I finished my first Playthrough and before it goes to NG +, I want to make my opinion known.
Directly front Way, the Game is absolutely worth the Purchase for €1520. Shovel Knight has basically taken Elements of the NES Classics (Ducktales, Megaman, Castlevania, Super Mario Bros etc) and put them in their own Guise. But good, who I tell, people who want to get the Game, Know that anyway.
Graphically as well as Musically, the whole thing is also meant to be reminiscent of the 8-Bit time, but is not kept as if the Game would still run on an NES. Many Frames make the Animations seem very fluid and the Characters vivid and the Chiptunes often remind enough of a Sega Mega Drive rather than the NES. Nevertheless, Earworms as in the old Megaman Games are included, so I would like to download the Soundtrack to everyone first (Basically costs nix, voluntary Donations are still possible, just googles).
Where I have to offer high Praise is the Gameplay itself. The Learning Curve is very good (unlike described here by some), new Elements are introduced in a harmless Situation (such as the Soap bubble in the first Level) and the Developers only demand the right Challenges from the Player when the player does not Basic Mechanics.
Since I am not seriously created for such Reviews and have already written too much, make it a short time again: The Game became exactly what Yacht Club Games indicated on Kickstarter. A Drawback to the Pearls of the 8-Bit time, with Elements of the Classics Of the time. It plays great, looks good and sounds bombastic. So please People, invest the €153 and have nice Time.
