This a beautiful game in just about every sense you could think of. I love the art style of the game as well as the music. The story is simple but it works for the game. It does a great job with it's length and doesn't overstay it's welcome. The end boss battle is also well done. My only complaint is some of the combat mechanics are a little rough, as is the platforming but most of that can be blamed on a bad double jump. Aside from that this was a really enjoyable experience.

It's a pretty fun game with some dual sense features, but it gets boring halfway because it's always small puzzles followed by a repetitive combat with "big bosses". I got bored, but managed to finish it.

Overall a really great experience, one I'm definitely going to come back to for Master mode once I've had a break. Main downsides for me were:
* Some boss battles felt more luck-based than skill-based. The Corrupt Woodsmith battle in particular, I felt no sense of achievement at the end - just that I'd tricked the game into letting me through.
* Not enough checkpoints (especially in boss battles). I get that this is meant to be a challenge but some sections just had me feeling annoyed that I was repeating the same battle a half dozen times so that I could get to the bit I was stuck on. The final battle in particular really sucked for this.
* Story wasn't at all engaging for me - I always struggle with cutscene-based storytelling in a game like this
It's a tremendously well rounded game. Great environments, art, sound, and story telling. Satisfying combat and game play. Challenging boss fights (maybe a little too challenging at the end). And pre-rendered cutscenes!! I miss those in games.

Recommendation: It was great, everyone should play it
It’s a good game overall but the combat mechanics need work. Parry especially is critical and almost impossible to use. Bosses surprisingly a grind. I just was rushing to the end because I got very bored after 10 hrs. Extremely similar to god of war.

It surprises me that it is am indie game. So much heart has been put into it that it definitel deserves more praise. The visuals are beatiful, the soundtrack is simple yet exactly what is needed and the story keeps you invested to the end. It definitely deserves your attention.
