Fortnite Battle Royale review
by Graham Kaletsky

The thing epic did best with this game is monetization.  The gunplay is fine, the building is at least unique within this genre.  There are better battle royales, even free ones.

Good gameplay
Toxic community full of kids
Cartoon graphics
«Better with friends»
It's free-to-play, but in the end there are so many better free-to-play battle royales these days that Fortnite isn't even worth a nostalgic look. I understand that its impact, but that doesn't make it good.
I downloaded and played Fortnite on the first day of release. It was a unique gaming experience that I had never seen before. Playing from the start greatly added to my enjoyment because I was learning at the same time as everyone else, I wasn’t  getting immediately destroyed, I was getting wins.

I continued to play fortnite for so much longer than I ever expected. It’s enjoyment lasted so so long. The excitement seeing the remaining players count decrease was immense. Eventually after literally hundreds and hundreds of games I felt satisfied and ready to stop. I stopped playing before the major changes started to occur but it is nice to see the game has continued to evolve.

My score may seem high, but it is hands down the most enjoyable online experience I have had this generation. My score represents that.

Final Score: A++

«I could make it better»
To be honest, this is one of the best free to play games in general with interesting unique gameplay and good technical performance. Fortnite is also not "pay-to-win" game and for some reason it has huge and regular free updates.
«Can’t stop playing»
Honestly, I'm only giving an 'Exceptional' rating for what the game used to be. I began playing the day that the Beta was released, and it was fantastic up until season 4. At that point, the Epic Games staff began messing with too many lame and unrealistic additions to the game, and it became fantasyland. The building component of the game is ingenious though, and for that it gets a solid 9/10.
