LEGO The Lord of the Rings review
by Graham Kaletsky

Doesn't do LotR as well as well as Lego Star Wars does Star Wars.

Very amusing LEGO Game in which you can reenact the Triology of the Lord of the Rings. Game Time is quite good (from History), but all The side Missions keep the Fun of the Game high. The Control is a bit difficult in some Places, but by And Large very intuitive.

Fans of the LEGO games will definitely have their Fun with this one! Probably the biggest and best Innovation of this Part is that the Levels are no longer started via a central Point as before, but the Map is completely free to walk. This was once realized in Lego Indy 2, except that the individual Films still had to be played, which is not the Case here.

Lego Lord of the Rings has managed to capture the Films well and create an incredibly fun Experience. It faithfully recounts the Movies and suggests the typical LEGO game features. The Environment is made of Game graphics and the Objects in It are made of Lego Blocks. You can destroy them at will and collect Coins for it. Simply a addictive principle that still takes hold even after Years of Lego Games.

With Lego HDR, the Atmosphere and the Flair of the Lord of the Rings films capture and mix with a good Dose of humour. The Final Product can be very well seen, the World is consistent and kept close to the Template and with a good 12 Hours also in Solo mode for a Pass well kept of the Length. The Combination of Action, Puzzle, Jump and Run is a good Concept that intertwine well. Of course, Lego HDR DOESN't do everything perfectly, but keeps a constant and good Level over the complete Distance. I Am Sure I will also consider one or the other Lego Game in the Future. Rating: 81/100

Disclaimer: Very nice Story game, but due to bugs and Gish ghastly for 100% Achievement In itself a very nice Game, like actually all Lego Games. If you just want to play it because of the Story I can recommend it. But who plans to play the Game 100% I would advise against that, at least if you have other Options for Games. Is my third Lego Game and at the other two (Hobbit and Lego Movie) I had next to no Problems. But this one is just completely bucked and contaminated by Gentles. Game crashed several times before, but what's really frustrating is that you can't solve the simple Sliding "Puzzles" even the 20th time because the Block hovers in the air at once. (Again and again in the same Way). However, this only applies to the Puzzles on the World Map, the Story mode Is fortunately not affected. Verdict:-Beautiful Lego Game with orginal Sounds by LotR. -Terrible for 100% Completion-Must give a Thumbs down Due to a Variety of Bugs and Fies: This is by no means an Isolated case for me. Check out other negative Reviews that tell you about the same Problems. And after more than 4 Years, nothing is fixed by the Developers.
I played in LEGO videogame only once before, it was LEGO Star Wars (released in 2005). This game came out 7 years later, but it feels absolutely the same: same engine, same unresponsive control, same game structure. The only difference in decoration, nothing else. I am a big fan of LOTR, but this game was a waste of time mostly, I don't understand such a high review scores.
