Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year Edition review
by Graham Kaletsky

after Arkham Asylum, I didnt know how the game could work in a more open world sort of setting.  It works though, they did it.  this game is very good.

Arkham City is a huge jump in quality over its predecessor. The combat feels more refined and encounters are more challenging. Story-wise, Arkham city is the best in the whole Arkham series. Side-content is a mixed bag though. During the side missions you get to have enjoyable interactions with some of Batman's more obscure villains and characters. However, some of the side missions are roadblocked by waiting for events to occur randomly while roaming the city. Even if you are in a location where an event is supposed to occur, it's a flip of a coin as to whether or not it will actually trigger. On the topic of mediocre content, Harley Quinn's Revenge which acts an epilogue is okay. There's not much to say other than you can play as Robin for a little and experience an alright story. I'd be more disappointed with the DLC if I had to buy it separately. The technical performance of Arkham City is better than Arkham Asylum but I did suffer from several crashes. Arkham City, is a highlight of the series and is arguably the pinnacle, only suffering from its optional content and technical state.
«That ending!»
Batman went ham in this one, easily the one that made me shit myself the most in the franchise. 10 out of 10

Since the last Game Asylum, I've had to really consider whether I even want the Game. But once it was on Offer, I can't resist it and I wanted to try it out. To my great Surprise, they got out a lot more than I thought and that boosted the Fun Of the game a lot more than the old Game. And that's what it's all about ^^ PRO-The Change with Catwoman is just Bomb! < 3-You have to muster a lot more Skill and Inilligenore In the Riddler Puzzles than before, a Shaping up For every ^^-More features with Batman, i.e. equipment, combo + for the Opponent as well, therefore More Difficulties! -Many Environments are new here and as far as the Graphics are concerned, I find very successful (:-Story is really awesome, as the i-Tüp ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ en on a very nice Cake, because I was perfectly packed by the Turn of the Story o.o CONTRA-Storage Points are sometimes unfavorable, So you have to repeat what you've already done. -No Change from Player possible:( My Opinion on the Game I definitely find this Game better than Asylum's and also much more action-packed than before. The Story is better as well as the Skills of Batman, as well as Catwoman. What's a Pity is that you can't switch to Catwoman here as you'd like. Ma is only forced to play it from the Action. : See The Conclusion is clear: You shouldn't miss this when you've played the Beginning, like me. Because with this one follows the Action of the Story and can understand this better. I would definitely recommend it and also pick it up again when it's on Offer. : 3

Rating: 10 out of 10 Points Batman: Arkham City is a fantastic Successor to a terrific Predecessor. There are rarely good Sequels, but these here even top themselves. Whoever played the Predecessor can't get past this Game. Absolute Buy recommendation. Story/Atmosphäre/circumference (10 out of 10 Points) Batman: Arkham City-as with its Predecessor Arkham Asylum-is an action adventure. The second Part, as the Name suggests, no longer plays in a small Lunatic institution, but this time in the whole City. As in the first Part, the Joker is the Overvillain again, who again this time has numerous other well-known Villains as Support. All of them together ensure that Batman always has something to do. Especially the Puzzles of the Riddler demand a lot of Thought From the Player. Some of the Puzzles are also simply solvable very late in the Game when the corresponding Gadgets are Available. In addition to Batman, it is also possible to play a second Character (included DLC) at Times this time: Catwoman. This has its very own Movements and seems much more agile than the technology-dependent Batman. The Atmosphere is also terrific in the second Part and the Graphics are also staged furiously again. As far as the Scope is concerned, it is also perfectly okay. If you want to do absolutely everything in the Game, you will be busy for over 50 Hours. Technically speaking, technology (10 out of 10 Points) Can stand here exactly the same as my Recommendation from the first Part: Technically, the Game is flawless. There are no crashes to be feared (two I've had throughout my Playing Time) and Mistakes don't occur. The System requirements are not high and still conjure up a liquid and beautiful overall Picture on the Monitor. Operation (9 out of 10 Points) As with technology, the Operation can also have exactly the same Advantages (and the small Disadvantage) as the first Part) as the first part, therefore here also a Copy from my Recommendation from the first Part: The Operation with the Mouse and Keyboard is somewhat fummy miserable. If you have the Opportunity, you should definitely play with a Gamepad. At First the Combat System is a bit fiddly but after a little Training Time All the Fights go well and get off the Ground. Even if there are many new Gadgets later (e.g. the Batarangs, or Detonation Spray and many more), the Operation is always clear and logical.
