Thomas Was Alone review
by Patrick Wadden

A perfectly decent puzzle platformer with a certain charm that begins to putter out about halfway through the game for me. Was adequately inventive with each new stage but perhaps not as explored to the depth and complexity of the great games.

I did get this for 1.64 on the Vita store which this was so totally worth!

this game showcases how much you can do with great design even when on a small budget. first mike bithell game i played and i loved it! constantly in awe of amazing level design and fresh use of old mechanics. the story got me emotional and i love saying that about a game with rectangles as protagonists! really cool experience, playing Thomas Was Alone feels like a lesson in game making

Wonderful Game-beautiful Soundtrack-sweet Faces. Honestly, I didn't expect much. Thought more of a simple enigsi-based Logic game. In itself, however, "Thomas Was Alone" tells a wonderful, already slightly moving Story with a heartbreaking Ending,... What I would never have expected from Blocks-hidden behind slightly tricky Puzzles with great Variety that can actually be solved without any problems. My Playing Time (Quit + all Achivements): Exactly 3 Hours of price: With 8 Gold talers rather something for Lovers-everyone else can wait for a new Humble Bundle or a Steam Sale.

Thomas was alone. At least that'S what Thomas thought. In a two-dimensional grey World, Thomas meets His Peers. Only together, By combining their individual Customarities, can they achieve their Goal: Right and above. Thomas was alone captivates and arouses Emotions: For Rectangles. The Graphics are simple but loving and detailed. Danny Wallace was awarded the BAFTA Games Award for His role as a narrator who tells the STORY surrounding Thomas with Charm, Wit And Irony. The Game's Soundtrack, written for Thomas By David Housden, also deserves an Award. The Puzzles of the Platformer are not overly sophisticated, but are made trickier by the necessary Combination of the up to seven Figures. Occasionally, good Timing is required without making the Game unnecessarily exhausting. Overall, Atmosphere and Narrative Outweigh skill and combination tasks. For Lovers of lovingly designed indie games, Thomas is an absolute Recommendation.

This game I got recommended because I requested a game but a bit of trouble while there was a story, and this game has just that. You have to learn some geometric figures with different characteristics as people with their different senses and peculiarities. Tex Claire who can flow, she finally finds her place d she realizes that her weaknesses in dry land are compensated by her boyans in the water. Beautiful music and a rich history of friendship and human relationships.

The whole game was played as the training phase / intro of a game. "No, it should start," I thought. "Is this really all? Yep, that's all. You move a square from A to B. Congratulations, you managed it. Here's a new square. Move it from A to B. Tft. You'd think it's getting harder and harder. very complicated in the end, but no, I did not get stuck once, you do not take breaks to try to find a new approach to the problem, you take breaks because you are bored. So yes, completely discard money. I realize that it should somehow be a good story (which was one of the reasons I bought the game), but if I just want to clean a nice story I put on an audio book or a movie. The game itself is also entertaining. Not that I think the story was very catchy.
