The Shore review
Meh

Has some well designed locations with interesting visuals. Forgettable story. While there are some creepy things around, this game is not a horror game. The worst part is the poorly implemented combat, which does not fit the game.

Agreed. The combat reminds me a lot of the 2018 Call of Cthulhu where you get a lock on pistol randomly that was completely unnecessary to the game.

I remember putting this game on my steam wishlist way back when it was first announced. For some reason I thought it was a survival type game but when it was finally announced for PS5 I decided to give it a try. There is a lot of good set dressing and fan service for Lovecraft fans but ultimately the game falls a little flat. I don't mind the walking simulator type gameplay but a lot of puzzles and progression stuff can be pretty obtuse. On top of that there is a lot of UI issues with pixel hunting the perfect spot to click on to interact. It is a very indie game that has rough edges with little pay off.

Horrid FPS regardless of settings on a mid-tier PC.
No controller camera invert option.
No remap for controller or PC keybinds.

Unacceptable.
