Tearaway Unfolded review
by Никита Кирпа

Of these games you do not expect much, but she's crazy cool.

When you compare Media Molecule's 'Tearaway Unfolded' to their other smash hits such as the LBP series or 'Dreams',
it certainly shares the unique charm, divergent art style, and gimmicks that explore the Playstation controller's unique features but all to a lesser extent.

The opening to this game was so sluggish to me as they had the great idea to take away your jump; from a platformer! I think this would be fine if it was quickly restored so you could learn the other mechanics of the game, but it's not given to you for about an hour. I've currently completed about ~33% of the game, and the movement still feels sluggish. The Camera is a huge problem, as I'm constantly wrestling with it. There are some nice hidden areas and nooks but I'm discouraged to explore them as the camera constantly wrestles you to return to the main path.

Combat is boring, repetitive, and feels unfair. Perhaps it improves like I thought it would when I obtained the ball ability, but nope.

So if you're looking for a really unique and beautiful game that is only 20% as fun to play as it looks, this is for you!
I'm hoping to play the original on Vita (which I've heard is tighter) and will see if this just got a poor case of porting over!
