This version is an another good example out of hundreds of how an idea to remaster something is only because of money. This remaster is pretty much a scam and a dirty tactic by EA to force you to pay more dollars for less. What do we have? Graphics? - Toned down because they thought it was genius to use PS3/X360 as a base. (can be fixed in PC version) AI? - Fucked up and can break sometimes to the point of where it was too easy to finish the Race / Pursuit. Cars? - Yes, most are here, but not all of them. We have examples where it’s expected, like Carbon Motors because of company’s closure, but there are also Mercedes-Benz cars’ absence, which is a complicated case. Also for some reason the number plates were changed too…? New features? Well, the DLC that wasn’t in the OG PC version is there, but I didn’t care about that at all, same for Photo Mode.

And lastly, the PC port… Oh, don’t get me started on that one. For some reason when I open the game, I always have to Minimize and Maximize it back so the controls will be recognized. No matter what I tried, nothing fixed this issue. The graphics settings, even if more details, still left me unsatisfied, as there was only a SMAA x1 option for AA, so I still could see some aliasing happening. TXAA was blurry and ugly, so I was against using it. I’m also pretty sure that, because of my 5400rpm HDD, this game was messing up all over the place. Music could suddenly cut out instead of fading out, unpausing the game forced me out of control for 1 second before the HUD reappeared. And I’m pretty sure the AI’s behavior is also dependent on how fast your data transfer is. No, I will not tolerate this, because it was not the issue in the original PC version, do not even try to argue about that with me. Not to mention EA closing the servers for the OG, SO THAT WE COULD’VE BEEN FORCED TO BUY THE REMASTER, so that the online features worked. Personally, I found the Online lackluster, I bought this piece of shit only for achievements (yes, I’m that petty).

For people who bought the original I’d suggest to stay the fuck out of this version. It was released only because of a lame excuse, which was the game’s rerelease for 8th gen consoles with having almost nothing to differentiate it from the already good PC version.
