Mechanics are very simple, yet very engaging due to the soft rhythm mechanic.
The simplistic artstyle works very well and the hour or so it takes to beat this game is well spent.

Who said it took sick graphics to make a good game?
This game is simply an audiovisual bomb (good, OK... more audio than Visual). Simple graphics (no text, except "140" on the title screen) but extremely colorful (the developer has to want to compensate with LIMBO...), a good platform game with new elements throughout the game and an equalizer in the background to fill a little;-p.
And the music, the central element of the game, integrates perfectly. All the elements of the game revolve around the music for our greatest delight. A sublime music in the electro style, which changes according to the environment, puts us in the mood of rhythm. Too bad the OST is not currently available, the ultimate for an award winning game for his music... But it is on the right track, you have to wait.
The concept is simple: you control a square (it's simplistic, I warned you), which turns into a circle or triangle according to your actions, through different levels. You have to avoid the "parasitic" areas under pain to believe you face a TV in black and white and to find you at the last checkpoint past (attention: these checkpoints are a limited time offer). We run 3 levels then, once the third reaches, we can redo them, but in a different twist... (The offer of checkpoints is now exhausted), if you see what I mean...
Only black point, the game ends a little fast (especially for the seasoned), I would like to see additional levels during updates.
I want to say that the end boss is beautiful.
In short, an addictive game to recommend and play

140 is a small platform game with minimalistic graphics in which music holds a prominent place.
The gameplay with commands similar to a Flash game, we move laterally or by skipping our geometric shape through 3 levels that evolve thanks to the "instruments" of music that we operate from time to time in the level. Each additional instrument will unlock platforms that help us (or not, some tones activate traps, necessary for our progression anyway) and that will move to the rhythm of the music. Here lies the whole interest of the game: the sound guides our actions. Thanks to him, we know when to jump, when to stand still, when to drop, etc... So it is almost impossible to play without the sound. Sometimes even the music goes faster than our thoughts and we are surprised to jump without hesitation.
Each level is punctuated by an end boss, all very orginal. The last one is very demanding.
At the end of the game, one unlocks the mirror mode, the same 3 levels upside down, which in my humble opinion does not bring much more to the experience.
Graphics the graphics are minimalistic, to leave a total place to the music. The background is nevertheless colorful and animates according to the music in the form of an equalizer. Pleasing to the eye.
The music central point of the game: Electro music give the rhythm of the game and are enjoyable to listen. They would have deserved to be a little more present in some retord passages.
Pros the very clever use of music nice graphics (but no more) original bosses a mirror mode for prolonged experience cons a long life too short!! (1h10 for the slowest)
