The game ends as quickly as it starts. At only 30 minutes play time and no prospect of a Chapter 2, skip it.

Goblin VR Experience by anotherworld GmbH is a horror Game of a special Kind.
The Lines between Horror Movies and VR horror games are meant to blur here. As many Creators of VR horror games have claimed, Does Kobold Live up to this lofty goal?
In order to make the Experience in Goblin as cinematic as possible, special Technique was used. We're not moving through the usual rendered 3D environments, but we're in a real Building, with all its Interiors. The villa-like House stands in Real Life in Brandenburg and was completely scanned with the Help of Photgrammetry and volumetric Images. The Actors are also 3D scanned Actors, who seem very lifelike thanks To a very good Facial Capture. A proper Graphics Card should therefore already be working in your own Computer, but there is the Possibility for weaker Machines, up to 1060, to reduce The Graphics Quality somewhat. The Surroundings are just As genuine as the villa, with all the many different Contemporary Objects. Everything is very high-resolution and detailed (including Construction Site sign) – except for the VW Beetle, with which you arrive at the Place of Curiosity.
Because in Gobold you're an American (?) adventurous Tourist or intrepid Adventurer, I'm not so sure about that. So You're here in this eerie place for certain Reasons and you want to investigate the mysterious Case of a missing Boy. Of course, you arrive in the middle of the Night and are only armed with a Flashlight, but nothing stops us from breaking into the dark Building and the Horror starts slowly ...
By Free Locomotion, we move elegantly and carefully through the creepy House. The very good acoustic and musical Sub-paintings still support the already high degree of Immersion And allow Goosebumps to be created. Stairs creak, Pipes gluckle and always make these unlocatable Noises.
In the House you can find Tape Cassettes and Letters everywhere telling us the eerie story of little Kasper trying to process the loss of his Mother With The Help of an imaginary Friend named Pixi ...
The Clues are partly in German, partly in English. Depending on who the Clue comes from, because we and our Friends in the Background speak English, while Kasper and his Family speak German, of course. It would be easier, of course, if everything were in German, but it is precisely this Mix of Language that makes goblin even more real. Native English Speakers who don't speak German then experience Goblin even more vividly than someone who speaks both Languages. That's almost cheaten, because in real Life there's no Baby Fish yet.
In order to delve even Deeper into the History of Kaspar and his Family, I strongly recommend watching the 15min short Film on the Homepage of anotherworld. Here you learn about the Prehistory of the Actors and the Scenario in the Game becomes even more sinister later, if you already have some Background knowledge. The Film is a dramaturgically very good Real film, cast with really good Actors, complete in German with English Subtitles.
Goblin Chapter I is already a Must due to technology, rarely has you been able to experience such impressively real-looking Environments in a Game. At the Moment I can only think of the Film AWAKE, which uses a similar Technique, but in Gobold it just looks a lot better and in Addition it is a completely interactive Game.
Chapter 1 is now not the longest experience with just under 1.5h Playing time, but it is hopefully just the Beginning of a longer story. The Price is fine, but in the Sale the VR and Horror Fan absolutely has to strike.
