Guacamelee! review
by Patrick Wadden

This game is insane. It's really good with really satisfying combat and movement and the optional challenges where incredibly insane. Requires incredible movement and timing. The only thing I can hold against it is at certain points when you are pushing the systems to their max, they tend to break under the pressure at times. Even when faced with a hard challenge that took me literally almost an hour to complete, when I finally did complete it and I would so almost effortlessly as the rng just lined up for me. But if the second one is anything like this and I can't wait to 100% both of them!

A fun action platformer full of dated memes and wrestling moves
Boring Metroidvania that cares more about a bland ass combat system than it does actual exploration or upgrade systems. Doesn't help than they "humor" is basically a bunch of actual rage faces and outdated references.
delightfully entertaining with solid combat
A delightfully entertaining game with a simple story, lots of mexican stuff in it, and simply one of the best platformers ever made. Great bosses, catchy soundtrack, creative mechanics, plus it is cheap.
This is a very charming and colourful game with delightful music. It is a straightforward "metroidvania" but with lots of Mexican spicy toppings. The humor and references might seem a bit too cheesy, but it doesn't spoil the game. It took me about 16 hours to finish (no rushing) to find all secrets and reach the "good ending". So it is well worth this time and the price.
Turns out there was a way to sacrifice president's daughter in order to take both the living and dead worlds? Nice lifehack.

But maybe it works only in Mexico.

Must-have platformer game on Vita and on other consoles. Great narrative, colourful levels, cool characters, awesome music!
