Assassin's Creed Mirage review

This is a great example of why you shouldn't always listen to your fans. There was apparently a vocal part of the fanbase that wanted to go back to the basics, back to good old 2007. Well what we got was one of the driest and mediocre playing AC games since probably 2007. This games takes every progression they've made and throws it out the window. What we are left with is a fairly rough playing game that retains little of what people really enjoyed. I'm surprised there wasn't more tailing missions. The story was very meh and I called the twist about 30 mins in. The best quality of the game is it's city building and the detail that went into recreating Baghdad. The gameplay is pretty rough, I ran into so many issues when climbing whether it was jumping off in the opposite direction for some reason or the game not letting me drop down at all. The combat is even worse, hinging entirely on parrying that is somehow worse than the games that came out over 10 years ago. Obviously the focus is on stealth in this entry and it works fine for the most part. The crowd stuff is bad however. I enjoyed the game more when I was doing collectible cleanup. Please don't ever do this again Ubisoft.

Good game

Not bad but not good. The story and the characters are kinda meh. The parkour feels kinda clunky, I didn't really like it. Definitely not worth 50$. Wait for a discount or get the game in other ways..
