Heretic + Hexen review

I'm not the biggest fan of Heretic. It's basically just fantasy Doom. Nothing wrong with it but it's nothing special. I also don't like a lot of the level design. There are a lot of Doom style levels that can work very well and they flow naturally. I found a lot in Heretic to be me completing 80% of the map before running around looking for what I missed. Hexen on the other hand is one of my favorite games. I had it on N64 so it sucks I can listen to that music because that's what I remember best but the music is still incredible and the remastering is great. The addition of all the previous DLC plus some new stuff is awesome. Seeing old sketches and sprite models is also very cool. The gameplay still plays great, faults and all. They added a parry to the Cleric which is insane. Overall this package is a great value and I really hope Nightdive continues to keep up the good work bringing old games to modern players.
