There isn't much to say about this game besides that it's one of the best games ever made. Some much love and dedication to history and culture, wrapped in a cheeky Czech bow. Everything is improved from the first game. The graphics, the gameplay, the writing. Everything. Much like the first game, it is difficult from the outset but once you are getting comfortable it is so rewarding and you quickly become a master of craft. The world is beautiful and feels alive. Plenty of good side quests to do and random encounters that have persistence into the future. I found myself running into a guy I saw almost 40 hrs ago and barely recognized them. There is so much roleplaying options here because of the amount of things you can do. With the DLC you can open your own forge and run a business selling quality items. It's so easy to get lost do minor things. I spent the bulk of my 160 hours doing side quests and random odds and end while the main quest line was on hold. The writing and voice work is so good. Tom McKay has quickly become a favorite of mine solely on this role alone. He is very talented and does a great job portraying Henry as a fairly normal guy pulled into events much bigger than himself. The support cast is also fantastic with some true Czech characters. As someone of Czech descent, it's awesome to see the detail down to the food that was eaten and the origin of names and culture. More than a few times I've run into characters with familiar surnames that people I grew up around had. I hope that this studio continues this story and keeps putting the amount of care and craft into it because it is truly amazing.

An absolute masterpiece of a game — The visuals, the music, the characters, and their stories—all of it comes together to create an unforgettable experience. The first game was truly one of the best I have ever played, and now KCD II, in my opinion, competes with my all-time favorite game, RDR2, which I didn’t think was possible. I initially played this game cracked for 190+ hours, but then I couldn’t go on with this heinous act like a peasant, so I bought the game and started over—and I don’t mind it one bit. This game is truly one of a kind, and even though they say the story is finished, I truly hope for more.
