Omen Exitio: Hunger is a genuinely good find for fans of investigation games and visual novels. Tiny Bull Studios sets this Lovecraftian gamebook in 1927 New York, grounded in the real historical disappearance of Billy Gaffney. Every choice leaves a lasting mark: paths ignored a few scenes back close silently, without warning, and interrogating witnesses who don't want to talk or tell the truth is genuinely well built. The investigation also rewards close observation over easy puzzles, the most important clue is rarely the most obvious one. What makes it stand out is the balance between real historical grounding and Lovecraftian mythology, pulling you from the streets of New York into dreams and the wider Mythos, with multiple endings rewarding the choices you made. The monochrome, hand-drawn art direction nails the noir tone, and Simone Pellegrini's dark ambient score is excellent. The real downside: very limited language support, no French localisation as of now, which is a significant barrier given how text- and dialogue-heavy this game is. A well-crafted mystery, recommended if you're comfortable in English. Full French review: https://rogueh24.fr/test-du-jeu-omen-exitio-hunger/
