TEMPUS: A Wizard Awakes review
Meh
by Rogueh

Tempus is an honest, well-constructed time-puzzle platformer that primarily appeals to genre enthusiasts. The time rewind mechanic lets you record actions and interact with your past ghost, creating increasingly complex puzzles that reward logic and patience. The level design is the standout: each puzzle introduces a new variation on the mechanic, building complexity at a comfortable pace without ever frustrating. The "eureka" moments are genuinely satisfying. The game doesn't have a narrative – it's a pure puzzle game with a functional sci-fi backdrop. The visuals are clean and readable, the soundtrack supports concentration, and performance is stable across all platforms (including Switch). The downsides: no story, a minimalist universe, and short playtime (4-5 hours). It's not a must-have like Braid or Outer Wilds, but it's a clean, balanced, and satisfying experience for genre fans. If you're receptive to this type of game, you'll enjoy it without feeling your time was wasted. Full French review: https://rogueh24.fr/test-du-jeu-tempus/
