Coromon review
by Rogueh

Coromon is one of the best Pokémon alternatives on the market: deeper tactically, well-constructed, and generous in content. The turn-based combat system uses stamina instead of PP, forcing strategic resource management. Unique creature traits add another layer of depth, and the difficulty is notably higher than most monster-catching games – gym leaders and bosses demand real planning. Over 120 creatures to catch, a full campaign, optional challenges, and robust post-game content provide dozens of hours of gameplay. The sci-fi setting and detailed pixel art have real personality, and the soundtrack is catchy. Difficulty options let you tailor the experience. The story is serviceable but not groundbreaking, and difficulty spikes can frustrate casual players. But for fans of monster-catching games looking for a modernised, more demanding formula, Coromon is an essential reference. A must-play for turn-based strategy and creature collection enthusiasts.
