Five Word Review: Little too grindy, mostly fun.
Favorite Thing: I like the concept and the off-the-wall story and events.
Least Favorite Thing: It's grindy. Really, really grindy.
Date Completed: 2018-02-15
Playtime: 10h
Enjoyment: 7/10
Recommendation: If you don't mind a little (or a lot) of grinding then yeah.

Punch Club is a pixel art management game where you're an aspiring boxer trying to get by in life by keeping all of your various stats up to win fights. And...that's pretty much it. It's like one of those shitty dating sims that used to float around Newgrounds back in the day except the vital stats you have to keep an eye on (hunger and sleep, mostly) plummet at a frankly unacceptable level, requiring pretty much a constant upkeep of time and resources to keep up.
The problem is, there are also "secondary" stats that are used in your fights that you have to put an equivalent amount of time and resources into, and, worst of all, a very scant amount of time to actually work with. This effectively creates a constant grind, but...that's all. The grind is all there is. You aren't grinding in order to build up some vague dream of fun in the future, you aren't grinding in order to come to a satisfying payoff, you're just grinding. Empty, pointless grinding. It's like having a real tedious job except you don't even get paid. Depressing.

Karate Kid 2.0 Punch Club is an indie title from the Developers LazyBearGames.
This Game is just fantastic. Anyone who stands on pixel art and many Allusions from pop Culture and Films of the 90s should access here directly. For a "combat simulator," the Graphics are very nice to watch and are a little reminiscent of Hotline Miami. The Allusions are countless, ninja Turtles, Pulp Fiction, A-Team or even Double Dragon etc. In every Corner of the Game you can find Allusions to Movies or Games from the 80s 90s. The Dialogues are very funny and the Soundtrack is pointed Class. With each Win you get skill points and can distribute them to The round-sized Skilltree at will. Unfortunately, the Game quickly becomes monotonous: Train, eat, sleep, earn Money and occasionally take part in Competitions like the beginner League to meander up on the Courts. The Soundtrack also quickly becomes monotonous over time. These little Quirks don't stop this Game from playing through to the End, thus becoming the champion of the whole Nation.

Game bugged out on me. I lost the play-offs and am unable to restart them. All fights and side quests are done.
This game has been available for a while now and game breaking bugs are unforgivable at this stage. Glitches after 110 days with 13,9,7 build.

Does not play well on the iPhone 4s game starts up slowly or not at all and if you are in the game then the screen is actually too small for this game .. Would have liked to know this before I bought it ... Free had been the best . On the PC this is a fun game. There are bugs in it that you cannot leave the buy menu in a shop. Interface is too large. Whether this will be improved or I want my money back.

It can not be that I have better stats than my opponent but he barks me off with ease each time because he gets + 4-8 energy every second but I only get plus 2 just as the man loses a good 20% of the workout every day gets extremely little money to eat what is most important mega expensive that just does not fit together well if man would not lose 20% a day from the training would be nice and the man can defeat the opponents more than 2 points less everywhere As I hope for quick fix otherwise I can only advise against buying the game
