Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition review
Exceptional
by Tramandai

There are a lot of things to do here but it’s a good game with a potential now. As a remake of a legendary DnD game of the past it’s made with great attention to the details and the polish. The game becomes better and better with the help of the community and the developer’s effort. And I think that Beamdog does a great job here. I’m sure Neverwinter Nights will become my favorite project of 2018 for its depth and DnD background.

Quite honestly, the persitent world servers are the real Reason to get To the Game when you are on Role-playing. As others have already written the actual Campaign is meh ... While the Extensions shine.

Ruckelarie. I like Enhanced Ediions and already have some in my games library. But I find it really difficult with this. Because, no matter what Resolution, the Game continually jerks and stops. Unfortunately, it's so absolutely unplayable to me-and real-that annoys me, because I had a lot of Joy with the Original at the time. Unfortunately, I cannot say Anything about the Game as such. What a pity.

The best Example of a completely excessive Transfiguration of the Past. A few Nostalgics Almost indulmer. I find this Game just as unbearable As I was 16 years ago. Rotzelweil, endless text-based Monologues and sprawling Explanations, a completely cluttered Character creation. I returned after 30 Minutes. The fact that there is a Bug with the UI scaling On Linux, for the User found a one-line Workaround in 5 minutes, but the Publisher still fails to fix it after 9 Months, puts the Crown on the whole thing. But the Main Thing, another 35 EUROS for old Wine to cash in new Hoses, right?

Lots of Adventures in the Forgotten Rich. Neverwinter Nights has already Captivated with his Adventures around the Plague of Niewinter and a mysterious Cult, The Search for Nesser Ruins and ultimately the Journey to the Depths of the Underworld and made many Hours of play possible. The additional Modules for sale complete the Package and allow for many more Hours of Fun. + Classics playable on newer Systems + fascinating Journey into the forgotten realms + single//multiplayer campaigns + possibility to play in persistent Worlds + create own campaign/modules ~ Graphics outdated, however any Innovation of this classic would be the Take Charm ~ tlw. Bad Balanceing of class magic

The interface is a joke, they haven't even adapted it to higher resolutions at all, the text is so small I get eye cancer from reading it. Played just half an hour and the game already crashed. As usual, the original game isn't available anymore, which means I have to pay double and I'm not even able to play all the mods which I could have played with the diamond version, plus I have to put up with crashes and bugs potentially the next 5-10 years or maybe even fore ver. I've heard the IE "enhanced edition" games were buggy for at least 5 years, I don't know if it's much better even to this day. Shouldn't have expected anything better from Beamdog. Terrible moneygrabbing company, I absolutely hate to have been forced to give them my money.
The only reason to play this game is its multiplayer mode. That’s all. The enhanced edition had to improve the original game and the previous titles but it didn’t succeed. If you want a good NWN game, better choose the Diamond edition. My main disappointment is the unfixed resolution scaler that doesn’t upscale the UI's graphical assets. The developer said that the problem would be solved but we just got blurry and cut-off interfaces instead. The game looks like an early access version. Maybe later it’ll be finished but now it’s not worth the money.
