EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair review

The balance here is broken. On normal difficulty you don’t have many weapons to choose, on the hard mode you get killed in one or two shots, and all weapons in the world won’t save you. That’s not like the game must work.

Such a great Game. Buy it and play it (preferably with at least one Mate and slightly drunk). This Game is the PC port of the PS4 Game of The SAME name, which is actually a Remake of Earth Defense Force 2025, a Game for the PS3 (and this one is not an Original either; the whole Verse/Series History is rather complicated). Scope of the Game? It will take About 25 hours to Simply play through the Campaign with a Character, with 5 Levels of difficulty and 4 Characters to Choose from. If you really want to grind through all this (it's a Grinder), there are loosely 200 fun Hours of Play before you. Each Character also has a massive Number of Weapons (and partial Vehicles) to Choose from, with which to go on Monster Hatz. The Weapons themselves cover a very wide Area and you sometimes have some that don't really make much Sense, but are extremely cool. Control The only Criticism I really have is that this Game is very designed for a dual stick game Controller, but-after some Acclimatization-the Control with mouse and Keyboard also works quite precisely. Multiplayer? There are different Modes, also Split-Screen Coop Or you can also play online via Steam. Story? The Game is an Alien Invasion of initially huge Insects That come in, but later evolves into a full Invasion with Robots and lots of High-Tech. This is also well implemented, partly the Sky and the Ground are full of Opponents, although one is also supported by semi-competent NPCs. So You almost never play alone. However, the Game itself never takes itself too seriously, even if in the Course of History it gets quite gloomy, when you look up from the cheerful Butcher And it doesn't look good for the People from Handling the Game, however, after some Acclimatization Well. Graphic? It is functional and in line with the (B-Movie) Setting. The Visibility is quite wide and sometimes one also estimates how large the Levels are (then an Air Raider makes Sense, which can fetch a Transport Vehicle). Music? There are only relatively few Pieces of music in the Game, but the ones like those in the Menus do not go to the Mind at all, even me as a Music Muffle, who immediately turns them down. She's cheerful, swinging and she automatically goes into the Background during the Game in favour of Radio Traffic and the Sounds. Bugs? Oh yes, not only in the Game you fight against Bugs, there are also a few technical ones, but these are very easy to merge. There is now also an "on the side" successor (further Reboot of the same Story), which currently only exists for the PS4. EDF! EDF! EDF!

If you like shooting more and more various enemies with different guns, this game will leave you happy. Every piece of content is done perfectly, from the smallest insect to the largest dragon. But when the entire screen is filled with enemies, the graphics lags a little.
