The Fall review
by KawaiiMuaii

An extremely recommended game. It has a unique visual and musical style, awesome dialogues and a great atmosphere. Nice to play, a fun and enjoyable side-scroller. I appreciate that the side cast is done as good as the main characters, and the game feels complex and detailed. I really wait for the sequel to play.

Peak atmosphere. The artstyle is dark, combat is limited and stiff and the enviromnent is fantastically designed.

The fall is an adventure game with a symphatic theme, a captivating storyline and interesting puzzles (although one can easily... When a translation error does not complicate the task). The story will interest all sci-fi fans and robots. If you liked the interactions with the AI portals, you would love the AI of the fall. But there are still two frustrating flaws:-a bad French translation, which seems to have been passed to the automatic translator (or in any case translated out of context). This results in some dialogues difficult to follow (already that the AI have logically a way to speak quite particular, if we add the translation lame...), and some problems at the level of puzzles (genre one piece is called by two different name, which can complicate the puzzle resolution). Good nothing catastrophic either, but if you were bilingual play in English. -The games are short, and the end leaves a lot of questions hanging (and not just details eh, like the big central questions of the games), and this is only the first part, there are two others in development. I do not doubt the good intentions of the developers but the fact is there: it is the fall part 1/3. It's up to you to see if you want a short but intense adventure experience, or wait until the other two different parts before. Despite all A.G.R.I. D is an endeating AI that I liked to accompany in the levels of the fall, and I do not regret my purchase. Strongly the second part (in 2015 from what I saw... It's a long way... to be confirmed).

I had a lot of trouble finishing this game without taking off from my screen as his atmosphere absorbed me. You will wander in rather dark areas that will make you want to move forward to find out what is going on. The story fascinated me even though I took a little time to find a logic in the different dialogues of the beginning of the game. Indeed, being in the role of an artificial intelligence the logic is no longer the same. It is clear that developers have spent a lot of time incorporating the concept of AI into their game. You play as A.R.I.D., the artificial intelligence of a military combination whose human owner is unconscious inside. Having taken control of the combination by necessity, your priority is to find a way to heal it. Of course many obstacles will be on your way. The game will make you block on puzzles to solve the type: find objects and use them in the right places. You will not have any illogical things to do as is sometimes the case in other games of this genre. Still do not believe that everything will be easy because once again the developers have been able to dig their heads. You will also encounter more direct threats whose only way out is to send them six feet underground. The handling of the protagonist is pleasant. It is easy to get covered, alternate between laser sight and flashlight and use the interface to find/pick/use the different objects of the game. I still blame the game two little things. The camera movement when you turn around is a bit abrupt, and the French translation has some faults, see 2 or 3 mistranslated words. Finally I will say that I had a lot of fun to start the game again a second time because it allowed me to notice several small details that had escaped me previously, and that are not meaningless.

This game is somewhere between a quest and an adventure and as a result it is bad at both genres. It’s short, the controls are unresponsive, the puzzles could be much better too. I expected a better story and a longer game, and I was disappointed.
