Rate top gamesSo, where do I start with this game? This is one of those games I bought on a whim. Me and my friend had just finished Shenmue and I bought this because it looked similar in playstyle. I did not expect to have as much fun as I did with this game. Graphically it isn't the best, but it's bright and vibrant. Voice acting is top notch. Side quests are ridiculously good. Main story has some slow points but is otherwise solid. Side activities are absurd. Hey look at that bad ass looking Yakua over there, see him? Yeah, he's spent the last 30 minutes trying to win stuffed animals out of a claw machine. Boss Fights are fun but fairly easily barring the final fight.
tl;dr Game is a blast and well worth the time. 8.5/10

Some really surprising plot twists & revelations along the whole way.
I wished to see more interactions between the 2 main characters.
The gameplay is fun, but it gets repetitive after some time.
I couldn't bring myself to play the real-estate or casino games for more than 5 minutes :)
But overall, a very fun & recommended game.

Great acting, great voice acting, great characters, great story, great side quests, a plethora of activities to do, repetitive combat.
First yakuza game I ever played, story is awesome, combat is great, and the “cabaret” business mechanic could be a game of its own! Recommend for everyone.
Has a compelling story while still being wacky in other departments. It's so interesting exploring the city and seeing what unusual situations you'll find yourself in. There's so much to do, so it's unlikely that you'll get bored.
