Stellar artstyle, great narration and fast snappy gunplay give this the perfect Western feeling.

Never played Call of Juarez games to completion, only with some attemps at playing them when I was a kid. Heard many great things about "Bound in Blood" one, yet when I tried playing it in 2020, it was clear to me that it's not a game for the a veteran mechanical gamer like me. Which is where "Gunslinger" comes in with it's cheeky Tarantino-esque presentation and snappy gameplay. It's sheer awesomeness, it's a game that you can recommend to anyone who can wield the mouse with confidence.

It's actually the reason I've decided to look for a site like rawg.io, to make sure I remember to revisit it later, when I would like to fulfil that western gunplay crave.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Game: The fourth Installment in the Call of Juarez series, is a linear Western Shooter like its Predecessors. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Single Player: One plays a Bounty Hunter who wants to take Revenge for the Murder of his Brothers. His Character tells the Story in a Saloon as he remembers (which sometimes even comes across very funny) Man balloons through a Variety of very beautiful Places that are very beautifully designed and also seem authentic. You meet just about all the well-known Western legends like Billy the Kid, Sundance Kid, Jesse James, Jonny Ringo and much more .. Each meeting with the Celebrities is topped off with a Duel. Furthermore, you can gain experience points through Kills to improve your Character, which made the Game very interesting. By the Way, you can follow a single Dueling Mode in retrospect and earn points for a High Score In Arcade Mode to compete with other Users. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Graphics: The Graphics are simply great, only the Foresight is sometimes very bad in some Places as things just plop Up. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Music: The Music is also very suitable for the Game, certainly no Hits but still very nice to match the Atmosphere. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Control: The Control is just perfect, you can't say more about it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Pro/Contra: + good Graphics + nice Level + good Control + good music + Good Synchro + Secrets + beautiful story-No Cursor lock-very Linear-no Germans Voiceover, as in the first Part-Narrative In The middle of The game events, something disturbs by the Missing German Voiceover----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Conclusion: A very successful Western Shooter where you can only mekkern a little. Only the strongly Linear Disturbs something and that you miss something in history through the Narrative in The Game. Nevertheless, the very successful History and Presentation here has become very good. The Arcade Mode and the Dueling Mode are nice Gimmicks but for me rather Side thing about the Game. But whoever is a Western Fan like me will certainly have his Joy in the Game here. The Playing time with 7 Hours (Story Mode difficulty level Normal) is relatively short but really shouldn't have been more than that it was perfectly sufficient to tell the Story without being unnecessarily dragged out. For £3.74, you can't do anything Wrong with this Title. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Summarized: Single Players: 9/10 Graphic: 9/10 Music: 8/10 Control: 10/10---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------Game: 9/10
