Raw Diamond.

Charming homage to the classics with lots of personality but also riddled with many quirks that need some deserved polish.

Very slow start, no hand-holding, focus on exploration and text reading. Combat is secondary and unbalanced, especially in the first levels. Simply following the main quest will stop you in front of difficulty spikes, so take as many sidequests as possible and grind some fights. Make sure to use the quick-save and quick-load buttons often.

Indie Gold! Now that the Game has neat content, it almost joins the Ranks of the classic RPG's á la Fallout 1 + 2. A great Atmosphere, interesting Locations and Characters. The Humor great, you meet the craziest Guys and Happenings. And especially the Setting is a great Change. Finally you can see the Post-apocalypse on The PART of the USSR. An AK47, a bit of Communism and Vodka, that's what you need in the Wasteland. The War breaks out in this History in 1986 at the Berlin Wall, and the GDR is also mentioned here and there in other Situations. This makes it more tangible and interesting for me as a German than the usual Settings on American Soil. Especially compared to the heavily futuristic Fallout, whose World has little in common with our real ones. The Graphics are not of the very latest Quality, but the Game is still very Handsome. Fights, Skills and Equipment: The turn-based Combat system also strongly evokes and games such as the classic Fallout or The Fall: Last days of Gaya. The Skillsystem is not overly complex, but it offers you enough Opportunities to adapt your Character to your Style of Play. There are Skill Points (Medicine, Melee, Rifles, Persuading, Repairing, etc ...) and a Skillbaum that contains many useful Buffs and Skills. The Fights are not easy right at the Start, but when you're out after a While with the right skills and ready Equipment, cleaning up is all the more Fun for that. It feels deserved. But even in higher Levels it requires wise and tactical Action, every Action Point counts and wants to be carefully agreed. Something you can almost only find in indie titles today. In addition, there are also companion NPCs that serve as a Cargo Arantel But are indispensable especially in Combat. There is a wide Variety of Weapons, all based on real Weapons. From Makarov Pistols to various Variants of Kalzhnikov to heavy Machine guns. Also various Backpacks, Armor, facial Masks, Hats and Helmets, etc can be found on his Adventures. Quests and History: The Quests are, By and Large, interestingly written. There are of course also some Collective Quests, but even those often follow on from interested Quest Series. Orders can be solved in different Ways, depending on individual abilities and Preferences. One is Often faced with the Choice of whether one is more likely to take the diplomatic Approach or to open the Way. Here and there you will encounter puzzles that require real Reflection, just fantastic! With all the soft-flushed broad mass games these days, I missed something like that painfully. Secret Bunkers, Settlements, Ruins, you get around a lot and there's a lot to see. All in All, a good "oldschool" RPG with great setting in the former Soviet Union and modern Graphics. I highly recommend it. However, it is completely in English, so you should definitely master at least good School English. It's not set to music either, so you're not allowed to object to Reading, because there's a Lot to read. Support the Team, buy the Game, they deserve it!
