Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin review
by Uneducated_Reviews

A great game, doesn't have the heart and the soul of the first one but is not by any means a bad game. Although I think this one is kind of unfair with the lesser enemies (attack animation resets almost instantly) and also you need to grind a lot or at least more than the original. The included DLC has the the most difficult battles, that said, they seemed they were designed to be completed by a party, otherwise it will take a long long time (I was at lvl 170+ and my damage was a joke compared to theirs), its important if you want to solo this game.

At the time of writing this review, Dark Souls 2 has been talked about to death. It's a subtly different experience from Dark Souls 1 and 3, and innovates on the Souls formula in its own unique way. To me, this makes it the best Souls game. To others, this makes it the worst.

Worldbuilding and storytelling in particular are leaps and bounds better than Dark Souls 1 and 3. DS2 has a much more cohesive world and memorable characters, as well as a more clear/direct story. It feels a lot more like a Metroidvania. I also enjoyed the increased build variety that Dark Souls 2 has on display. The increased freedom features tons of different movesets dependent on stat requirements, dual-wielding, "power stance", 1-handed, 2-handed, weapon types, unique weapon abilities, etc.

Dark Souls 2's originality and willingness to break the conventions established in DS1 are what makes it a good game, if a bit controversial. It still features the fantastic enemy design, boss design, and music that the original had, only better. However, it might not fare well when the community inevitably dies off and you have no one to summon for those hard boss fights. Many of them, DLC in particular, are tuned for multiplayer play.

For each of the Dark Souls 2 has already been looking for games/beloved/pure Purchase recommendation. 11/10 + Better Graphic + All DLCs + New NPCs + New Counters + Heavy counters + New Item (Weapons & Armor & Rings & Rings) and Monster placement (It won't be boring-Fast a new Game) + Coop and Multiplayer work far better, easier (6 Players) since I'm no Friend From the PvP bin ...-OP PVP invasion (Very much OP Player-suspicion goes on trainer modded equip)-New Dark Phantoms (very annoying) Conclusion: A whole new Challenge! < 3

At that time I played Dark Souls 2 on the Xbox 360 up and down For hundreds of Hours and now bought this Edition again on the PC because I didn't buy the DLCs back then. I leave the PEOPLE to own the DS2 on the PC already on the outside, as a new buyer you get a rich Package of demanding Entertainment, which captivates in front of the Screen for an Hour if you get involved. Crisp Graphic and Butter-soft Image Rendering in 60FPS complete the whole thing, I haven't had a single Image Slump so far (I Couldn't claim from the Console Version:)) Was Directly grabbed again by this Game and so quickly it won't let go of me because the changed Opponent Positions have created a different Game and the Pursuer this time lives up to his Name:) And if exactly YOU are now asking you, "Is it worth buying the Game again?" I can only say ... Yes! :)

Dark Souls 2 is highly recommended. The normal Version of Dark Souls 2 I played 90 Hours. And now so close to Dark Souls 3 I wanted to put myself back in the epic Atmosphere and therefore bought the Scholar of the First Sin Edition again. I have discovered on my Journey so far that some Places have been changed and other or new Enemies can be found in some Places. However, I recommend that everyone uses the Nvidia Control Panel at Dark Souls to set an Adaptive Vertical Sync because this is not possible ingame. This is also the only negative Point. On the Whole, I can recommend Dark Souls 2 to anyone who values more On a demanding Game with good Gameplay than to expect a Graphic à la The Witcher 3. However, an Xbox Controller or similar Controller is, in my Opinion, mandatory for a perfect Gaming Experience! Greetings and I hope my short Review was helpful. Enjoy Dark Souls and a Merry Dying!
It's awfully easy to tell who wasn't the director of this one. However, it still holds lots of hours of infuriating yet fun gameplay, gorgeous areas and enhanced combat, with PvP that won't let down either.

On the counterpart, it really is too injust and tiresome at (many) times, especially on some parts of the DLCs, that are purely hard for the sake of difficulty with no balance at all.
