Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition review
by Bogdan Punyk

Okay, so first of all I have to say that before playing this game, never in my life have I finished a single isometric RPG. I simply never got into the genre. But this single title changed my perspective once and for all. My definiion of PRG has changed as well. Now, for me, RPG is when there are truly countless ways of completing a quest and developing your characters. RPG is when each dialogue is a little piece of art, and you never know what implications your choices will have later on. RPG is when each important character is so detailed and unique that you actually feel that you are in a different world. RPG gives you a new world that is interesting to explore and which rewards you for uncovering its secrets.

Maybe that is not a real definition of an RPG, but it is what Divinity original sin 2 is like to me.

Popular Review: "Divinity: Original Sin 2 gets further than most of the RPGs nowadays. Larian Studios has created a complex narrative-driven game with intuitive and smooth gameplay." - IGN Spain

My Review: The best RPG I have played in a long time. Divinity: Original Sin 2 improves exponentially on its predecessor by providing an engaging combat system and an exploitative world that rewards ingenuity. It's providing a tabletop game experience, while obviously limited, you do often feel like you have some real freedom of choice, especially within combat. To put it quite simply this is one of the greatest RPGs of all time. It's fun, charming, open, beautifully written, challenging, and just a downright blast to play. The cooperative gameplay with friends can leave you in tears laughing sometimes or on the edge of your seats in a close fight. This game is simply a masterpiece and a classic in the RPG genre.

Contra: awful camera

Divinity 2, to me, is the developers' Dungeons & Dragons campaign made into a turn-based tactical RPG with a high degree of character build customization, and I absolutely love it. Single-player was fun itself, and I can't wait to finally get the chance to try multiplayer out with my wife. Expect an updated review when that eventually happens.
Gone through the first game now enjoying the second game of the series... and I can't just get enough... Thou I still would have love that Buddy and Emmie would get to be together D:
