Okay, so first of all I have to say that before playing this game, never in my life have I finished a single isometric RPG. I simply never got into the genre. But this single title changed my perspective once and for all. My definiion of PRG has changed as well. Now, for me, RPG is when there are truly countless ways of completing a quest and developing your characters. RPG is when each dialogue is a little piece of art, and you never know what implications your choices will have later on. RPG is when each important character is so detailed and unique that you actually feel that you are in a different world. RPG gives you a new world that is interesting to explore and which rewards you for uncovering its secrets.
Maybe that is not a real definition of an RPG, but it is what Divinity original sin 2 is like to me.

Divinity 2, to me, is the developers' Dungeons & Dragons campaign made into a turn-based tactical RPG with a high degree of character build customization, and I absolutely love it. Single-player was fun itself, and I can't wait to finally get the chance to try multiplayer out with my wife. Expect an updated review when that eventually happens.
