A relatively straightforward modification of the XCOM 2 formula. Notable changes:
- Soldiers are premade and have set ability trees. You get less agency, but gameplay is more tightly designed around specific synergies.
- If a soldier dies, the mission is restarted. This makes the game lose a lot of tension / drama, which can be both a good and bad thing.
- Exploration / seeking engagement has been replaced with the "breach" system. The tension of triggering multiple mobs is gone, but action is more consistent and predictable.
- Turn order is on a per-unit basis, which dramatically changes how engagements work. The focus is now on eliminating enemy units higher up in turn order.

Favorite Thing: I liked the turn order approach and the ability to use both humans and aliens.
Least Favorite Thing: It needed some more time in the oven. I've had crashes, broken animations, hovering characters, incompletable missions, and more.
