About

Gather resources, construct space ships and stations, produce fuel, generate energy, trade between stations, complete contracts or fight with pirates in a 2D world where everything in constant orbital motion, without "air friction" and without maximum speed limits.Realistic Orbital Mechanic
The world of the game works based on simplified orbital mechanics. Everything in state of constant orbital motion. Perform orbital maneuvers and keep your space ships on stable orbits to prevent crashing on a planet or loosing ship in deep space.
The physics simulates in 2D space, this makes flying and navigation enjoyable and easy but also generates a lot of interesting situations due physical collisions which are more often in 2D space than in 3D.Fully Customizable Ships and Space stations
You can build your own ship part by part. Each part of the ship is individual, it has own functions and parameters. Therefore, abilities of your ship are completely dependent on the modules from which it is assembled. You can build small explorers, large industrial ships, carriers, defense satellites or whatever you want.
Each module can be detached or attached to the ship right on the fly, which allows to transform your ship using found modules.Ship Management
All resources of the ship are limited. Including fuel, energy, ammo and construction materials, so store them and use them wisely.Command a Fleet
You are not bound to a single ship. You can build as many ships and space stations as you want. And you can switch control between them anytime. Also it is possible to control your ships not only directly, but also giving movement orders.Seamless Star System
Explore a procedural world filled with planets, asteroids, space stations and other things. The world of the game is completely seamless, you can zoom out from your ship to the entire star system.Gather Resources
Mine asteroids for useful resources or salvage wreckage of broken ships in order to build new modules and produce fuel.Economy, Trading and Missions
Trade goods between stations or complete procedural missions provided by NPC stations and earn additional credits to buy new modules on a shipyard.Fight the Enemy
Build various types of devices to fight against enemies. Cannons, lasers, rockets, shields and more.

The game has now been in active development, so even more interesting features added almost each update!

Celestial Command reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from French
Early access review 27 August 2015:27h game... Attention: the game is still at its beginning! So I will only comment on the current content, and the pleasure I draw. If you are not the kind to like sandbox, or if you expect a game with lots of things to do... Do not buy yet... turn the game on, and wait a few months. The devs seem rather active and very attentive. Very important before commenting: you must want to learn how to use it. It's a bit confusing at first, but after a while, we do everything in a few clicks here and there, and it becomes quite intuitive. In short-before giving some examples that have charmed me: what can you do in the game? -Existing multiplayer but no server (unless playing with friends)-IA and enemie currently desactivated following a certain bug-next patch approaching! -Build your own ships-make one of your ships one (or more) space bases in orbit-you Moor asteroids, and if you want, make them the bases of mining...-change orbit to go expensive other roids to other planet of solar system-design your own ships as it pleases you (for example, a small attack vessel with a small radius of action, or a large carrier, or a small satellite ship)-small note, the devs think to pass the game in 2.5 D (3D rendering but displacement only on 2 dimensions) what charmed me: what fun to wait for the game? Gravity in this game makes all its charm... Forget about moving in straight line as in all space games... Here, if you want to go to mine an asteroid, you'll have to target your intercept trajectory, slow down, dock, or align to its orbit, or even manage your own orbit around it... Pure happiness:-) Even more enjoyable: the stowage to other stations... Forget the big brakes and the tie-down way. Example of sensation:-you prepare your trajectory to catch up a station. -You are on a fast approach, the lashing airlock is still far, the station is in orbit, but it also turns on itself. -You get closer... Nice trajectory. But you also need to synchronize your rotation.. -You zoom to have a better view. -Everything still moves a little in every way, because you are not aligned, nor synchronized with the rotation of the station. -With your small thrusters you correct your alignment, gently, gently, you synchronize to its rotation... and suddenly! -The image almost freezes! -You are synchronized, what a sensation! -The airlocks are approaching, and we must now gently embrace the station...-a false shot of thrusters and it will have to start again! -Click Clack! Pshhh! you are docked! You trigger your thrusters to stop the rotation. Bravo! Do you have to start over? Yes! :-) This is really where I fell in love with this game. Docker OK, but also work the trajectories. Learn how to use our orbit to save fuel... intercept the asteroid, undermine, and return unload. Another example: you think going straight on the player who is a little farther? ... Not so easy... We prepare the trajectory to pass not too far and put some SALVES... But this one changes its trajectory... It makes you a big finger, while it stays out to wear and looks you away...:-) We'll have to wait a little revolution around the Sun to make him pass this vulgar gesture:-) OK side bug: for what is done, the game is super stable. He never planted. On the other hand, some small collision bugs here and there. And if you start to actually climb a big station, you'll have to understand how the game works. Because, it's not bugs that will cause problems, but rather the physics of the game that is very worked. And since everything is not yet coded at this level, some of your actions will bolt the center of gravity of your station, for example, and cause rather amusing situations:-) For example, your station that by in orbit far, super fast, Super far, and in 20 pieces:-) We launch the previous backup, not gracve... and make it fun now to see what would happen if we did something else.. Like blowing up a big hydrogen tank:-) I hope this will help you to wait, or try. A +
