Are you Chosen?  Made for RPG MANIA III GAMEJAM 

You are Elira brought down into a soul prison as a live sacrifice after being betrayed.  

Your objective figure out why every-time you die down here you revive, rescue the souls trapped down there and escape.

Features:

9 other party members besides your main character Elira.

New Stat based system:  P.I.F

• Power Vs Proficiency
  • Power is Melee damage and Defense (in one stat rather than 2)
  • Proficiency determines ranged Atk damage Hit , dodge and turn order
• Intelligence Vs. Instinct
  • Intelligence determines creations skill and how fast you perceive battle (amount of action points)
  • Instinct determines your dodge and critical chances.
• Faith vs Fury
  • Faith determines if you reflect ranged attacks and creation magic
  • Fury determines counter attack, increased target rate & emotion magic.

Turn based battle with a twist;  

• 5 Actor battle System
• Each actor has a set number of actions based on their Action points.
• Guarding is important!
• Injuries (Known as debuffs normally) are common however if you get 3 or more you get a negative state (ex. Numb:  You cannot cast any form of magic)
• Buffs work the opposite as if you get 3 buffs you get a powerful state to help you in battle. 

Simplified equipment:

• Weapon: Cannot modify only have starting weapon and ultimate weapon.
• Body: Power & Proficiency Gems
• Mind: Intelligence & Instinct Gems
• Soul:  Faith & Fury Gems
• Protection: Protects you from states and injuries
