Cogs is a puzzle video game in which a player has to manipulate a three-dimensional object's sides as sliding block puzzles to complete specific goals, such as meshing gears to complete a clockwork mechanism or routing gas flow through pipes to a balloon.
Every level of Cogs represents three-dimensional object, there are various objectives but mostly a player has to move tiles to connect sets of gears, piping and do other manipulative things to make that object behave in ordered way, for example to provide power to turn wheels. All the objects in Cogs are three dimensional, so it needs to be manipulated on different faces which could wrap around the object, or consider sides of tiles. The player has the ability to turn the object in any manner he or she wants to complete the task.
In the Cogs, the player mostly has to manipulate various gears, pipes with steam gas which purpose is to drive motors of gears or fill balloons and bell strikers which plays a specific melody if manipulated correctly. There are lots of levels in the game and each of them is more difficult than the previous one, adding more puzzle elements and more objects to manipulate.

Cogs reviews and comments

My Review on my blawgh: http://www.agustinfest.com/2015/10/cogs-resena/My Video review: http://WWW.O ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Kus. com/cogs-Resena/I Purchased this game in a PC and Mac bundle. Cogs is a puzzle game. Slide the squares (and cubes) of copper tubing to allow the steam to follow its course. Metaphorically, you live in a steampunk world and you are the creator of amazing machines, but the creation of these machines, well, requires a leisurely breathing and, although there is no risk but the challenge demands it, reflect your steps before acting. The game, in itself, is pretty. It Uses its three-dimensional engine well for the construction of the puzzles and its navigation. Everything feels fluid. The music is relaxing and also contributes to a nice gaming experience. It's Just about solving puzzles: There's no history, characters or pets. There are no powers Either. The puzzles, level to level, increase their degree of complexity but thanks to the aesthetics of the game and the sound, in reality, it never becomes a frustrating or desperate experience. Although I'm not a fan of sliding puzzle games, I really liked the experience of Cogs until I was tired. I Remember, vaguely, one of the most frustrating puzzles of the 7th Guest that almost made me quit the game. Cogs I had enough, clearly, because I do not like the puzzles but I was pleasantly surprised because without much thought, I played much longer than expected (half an hour on steam to write this review, three hours on my Mac). Two bad points of the game: your resolution is fixed for a 4:3 monitor and although I was looking, I didn't find a way to change that. The other is that their saved games do not support steam cloud and my progress between platforms is uneven. But They are my only complaints and frankly they are superficial. If you are looking for a puzzle game that guarantees a good time, look for Cogs on Steam.

It all looks very good. Nice graphics and sounds. Nice puzzling. It was only short-lived. The right mouse-click on the trackpad (two fingers) does not work on the Macbook and could therefore not continue with the second puzzle. Pity. I hope for a solution soon.

We get caught up quickly! Big and small (my daughter and my son - 6 and 10 - love it). The graphics are nice, the different levels each have their originality and their level of difficulty. We do not get bored, condition to love the game of teasing. I highly recommend COGS, very good value for money!

I actually thought that a Macbook C2D with 2.4Ghz should be enough. Unfortunately, you probably do not want the game to work properly. If you start it, it will display a message that the hardware is actually too weak - if you have the fullscreen mode onhat you can not get to the message ran and may offload the stuff remotely. The graphics are ... bad. I would really like to know how it works on an iPad, which has significantly less graphics performance than my computer. Support addresses or something does not exist ...

Riddles in 3D very nice to solve with nice graphics. Attention all riddles are based on the game of teasing (an empty box, you can only move to the empty box) so can be drunk if you do not. You will tell me that this game has a mathematical solution that works, of course, but here we can move blocks of blocks from one block and the time and number of movements are compts which adds an additional challenge. And then the 3D, the pipes, the gears, added a steampunk atmosphere quite nice.

Technically, I have nothing to complain about - on my 2.66 i7 MacBook it optimally with the highest settings. Similar to a sliding puzzle, the elements (tubes, gears, bells, etc.) must be placed in the correct position - all three-dimensional! Really well implemented and sometimes quite tricky. Although very entertaining, it is rather something in between. For longer game sessions, the levels or tasks have a similar effect in the long run ... Conclusion: The game itself is entertaining - for between, for evening entertainment rather nothing - & gt; still buy recommendation
