Crate Challenge

Crate Challenge is an energy drink fueled race down a never ending pile of crates created for LynxJam 2022.

Game play

• The goal of the game is to get the highest score possible while trying not to fall off the screen.
• Grab energy drinks on the way to build up your energy so you can sprint! Once you chug 4 energy drinks you can unleash a super fast sprint for a few seconds. Don't just use it any old time though, you'll find that the crates often trap you and you need a quick way out of a long row of crates!
• Points are earned for every row of crates you make it past.
• Each time the player falls off the screen the game is over.
• The high score will be tracked throughout the play session. Try and beat your own record!

Controls

D-pad: Move left and right

A-Button: Sprint for a few seconds if your energy meter is full

Pause: Pause the game

Flip: Flip the screen

Operation

The game may be played using an Atari Lynx console with a flash cart or via the use of a Lynx emulator such as Handy.
