Cross of the Dutchman
About
Cross of the Dutchman is an action adventure game based on the true story of the folk legend 'Pier Gerlofs Donia'.
The story takes place in medieval Western Europe, in the province of Frisia, near the turn of the 16th century. Though Pier and his family lived in peace, the world around them was changing for the worse. Saxon legions were invading nearby villages, making the lives of the native people next to impossible. On one fateful day, Pier got involved with the Saxon oppressors, escalating the situation for the worse. The events portrayed in this great adventure caused Pier to gather a band of farmers and form a front against the oppressors. The acts that followed made Pier into the legend he is known for, the Cross of the Dutchman.

With 3-4 Hours Of play not the longest Game. Still, I enjoyed playing it through a lot. Sometimes the Controls are somewhat inaccurate but sometimes forgivable.
Because of the Playing Time, I'd buy it in a Sale rather than for the normal Price.
8 out of 10 Points.

Nice little Hack n Slay Like Indies game with Exploration Appearances. The Cards are not very big, but this is not a Leg Break, especially since it is quite a small Game it. Particularly noteworthy is the Soundtrack, which impresses across all Situations. Although One does not necessarily learn much historical about the Main Character, one is given the Mood that prevailed at that time during The Raid of the Saxons.

Nice Low-Budget Game, with low Difficulty, short Story and 5 small Maps as the Setting. Simple's Combat System, which wants to gain complexity through gold found and The purchase of further Skills, bad Balancing means that the most expensive Skill is also the strongest, causing the Fights to be limited to Pressing the Attack button. Furthermore, the Game viiiiel declines Backtracking, due to the few Locations.
If you are interested in the History of the North Giants and if you want to play a Game including all Achievements in 3-4h in a simple Way, I recommend buying it. Otherwise, this Game only serves as a nice little Pastime after a long working day, because demanding Game mechanisms are In short Supply.

It's not a bad Game when you deal with the bad Controls.
The Problems:-After each Attack, the Character switches from running 1-2 seconds, which makes fighting a Game of patience, even if the Opponents break with 1-at most 5 Strokes-The Character keeps hanging on Corners-On the mini Map (a big Kar There is no such thing) you can often not see if you can go through somewhere or not, Which leads you again and again into Dead ends The Positive:-An entertaining Story (slight Spoiler-->) The Tone of the Story changes somewhat in the Course of the Game-The drawing Style The Game fits the Story very well (I found it quite pleasant to look at)-If you didn't take into account the Problem listed above, the Fighting didn't feel bad and the Animations especially for the Main Character felt right The Game length Is also a Theme, I have now played through the whole game within a little more than 2 1/2 Hours and for me the Game has no Replay value either. After you know the Story, I Think the Game just doesn't have enough to offer to take my Time.
So now my Final Sentence.
I recommend the Game to People who can be worn with an entertaining story through an otherwise beautiful But not very interesting game in terms of Gameplay.
