Defend The Highlands
About
Defend the Highlands combines the genres of Tower Defence, Real Time Strategy, and Scotland. The player will have to build defences, recruit Scotsmen and manage their porridge stockpile as they fight off the English invasion of Scotland.
The player will control a band of Scotsmen, led by the short, hairy and nationalistic pub owner Alfredo. Making use of traditional Scottish weaponry, such as golf clubs and haggis catapults, the band of Scotsmen must defend locations around Scotland, Wales and England, as they defend their homeland, and then take the fight to the enemy.
- Fight wacky enemies: Welshmen who ride sheep into battle, English teapot hurlers, Irish potato farmers, and many more.
- Build crazy defensive structures including porridge cannons, turnip turrets and cheese wheel stations.
- Building defenses is only half the equation. Unlike ordinary tower defense games, you will also have to man your towers with Scotsmen.
- Recruit Scotsmen to your cause by playing bagpipes - but be sure to keep your bagpipe players defended.
- Capture and hold oat farms to keep your porridge stockpile full.
- Command powerful hero characters, from the humble pub owner Alfredo, to the great William Wallace himself.
- Earn points and upgrade your Scotsmen and defensive structures.
- Fight the enemy through a 20 level story mode, or play custom matches in skirmish mode.

This game is expensive, its graphics are close to the unacceptable, the gameplay is not transcendent but there is in this game still something to have fun. You must wait until it is on sale if you do not want to regret the purchase! The humor introduced in this defensive gameplay still makes the game enjoyable.

Product received for free Schönes Tower Defense Game. Only here you don't have any fixed Construction Points. Build Free.
The "Towers" can only be upgraded after a Match. Over Time, as is known, new Means of defense Are unlocked. Graphics and Sound fits. The Operation also works wonderfully. You Can play well in between.

RTS without Base Construction but with Resource Degradation.
Tower Defence/Table Top War Sim in Real time. It's important where you build Things.
You have to fend Off Hordes of Enemies and you can build all sorts of Tools.
Quite hectic but quite entertaining the Whole thing.
Tactical Depth is rather mediocre, but it's unlike the usual Suspects.
The Humour isn't the mainstay of the Game, though.
Later it just becomes much too hectic To be considered a Tactics game. Too bad, was really nice the first 10 Levels.

Defend the Highlands-protect the Scottish territory from the foreign invasion in Scotland, we do not like foreigners. In this game, the Scots must be helped to resist the invasion of the English, the Welsh and the Irish. Grow oats to produce porridge (everyone knows that the Scottish national dish is boiled), play the bagpipes to loosen the reinforcements and fight!
You understand, defend the Highlands is a strategy game and more specifically defense.
The funny thing is that this game is made by an Australian and produced by Englishmen!

a super fun strategy game, one embodies a hero who fights for the freedom of Scotland against the English envahiseur. our weapons? Poridge, whiskey, bullets? Yes but... of golf XD and many others with a good big dose of humor this RTS Tower Defense is rather well done with pleasant graphics and a very "scotich" atmosphere strengthened by the bagpipes. In the course of the missions prepare to meet mythical beings and places such as Loch Ness, William Wallace or stone edge. Very successful atmosphere for who is looking for fun and even more fun. Attention all the time the game also does not allow to do anything and it will have to think well to resist the invader by all means (and especially with bcp of humor). Very good discovery for me!
