About

You are no hero … no prancing knight or scholarly wizard but a champion of the dark gods. As their chosen, you have command of legions of barbarians, beastmen and demons. Wield unholy strength, necromancy and hellfire to bring ruin to the civilized realms. Honor your gods on the bloody fields of battle in a quest for power and ascension.
Demon’s Rise: Lords of Chaos is a turn-based, tactical RPG set in a brutal and unforgiving fantasy world. Taking place amidst a horrific war in the cold north, the campaign will see your party fight innumerable enemies, huge monsters and powerful sorcerers. Victory will require the tactical use of terrain, morale, formations and magic. Build an increasingly powerful war band, command demonic allies, and crush those that stand against you.
• Tactical Choices: Use terrain effects, cover and line of sight to gain an edge over your enemies. Employ spells to hinder powerful enemies, area effect damage to clear the field of lesser foes and buffs to strengthen your allies.
• Build Your Party: Choose from 20 diverse character classes to build your war band. Your warriors will improve with every victory, becoming stronger and unlocking new powers and skills. Acts of courage and savagery on the battlefield will bring favor from your gods, which can mean the difference between glory and defeat.
• Collect Gear: Equip your warriors with powerful weapons, arcane objects, runic armor and legendary artifacts. There are thousands of items to find and collect, each with their own stat effects and background lore.
• Campaign: Fight through a lengthy campaign and numerous side quests that span more than 40 hours of play time. No level caps and the ability to replay levels at a harder difficulty add to the longevity.
• Engaging Lore: Immerse yourself in the history of Tarren, the world of Demon’s Rise. A land of broken empires and shattered kingdoms where armies of humans, demons and other races fight for bitter survival.

Demon's Rise - Lords of Chaos reviews and comments

Demon's rise-Lords of chaos is a good game of turn-by-turn strategy, very enjoyable to play and take in hand. The principle is simple, we form a squad of 6 warriors among about 20 predefined custom and with very varied abilities, then we go to the fights. Setting the mood is clearly not the highlight of demon's rise (just signs between two missions), so it's hard to hang on to the script. However, even if the game boils down to battles followed by passages at the store, the game is far from boring for who loves strategy and challenges. Moreover, the management aspect is there, not with the distribution of capacity points-the level crossings being automatically-but with a management of the equipment that allows very many customisations. Plus:-very good turn-by-turn strategy game-correct graphics,-very good camera management (often a weak spot in this type of game). -the rate of €6, frankly friendly cons:-very light tutorial. -No action log (sometimes difficult to guess the spells thrown by the enemy).

For a "small" low-priced TPT game like this, I didn't expect that. Very easy to take in hand and extremely addictive as long as you like the genre and the fantastic. We plunge directly into this world to fight against the side of demons. Fairly tactical, the maps are pleasant and the adventure that stretch our arms is quite gradual in its difficulty (I play in normal). Rich in character, spells, loots and artifacts, the game is not only based on skill but also takes into account morale. Really a great discovery as far as I'm concerned. The game is stable and pretty nice with the ability to control the angle of the camera, one can easily indulge visually with a great variety of spell and invocation. The adventure extends your arms in this TPT that caters to all players with the possibility to set the AI on 5 LVL from casual to extreme. Perfect for a series of battles that can also be parameterized when at the speed of execution. the wealth of the bestiary is the major asset that emerges from this title at least after 10 hours of games. The soundtrack is correct and the universe proposed coherent. I can't talk about the history of the game being available in English. But to play it and understand the different buff/debuff and the action of the different spells a basic English is ample enough. A little wonder that deserves to be focused on, it is easy to take care of our little troupe and then to try other characters to discover the talents. Managing his group will also mean equipping him and I must admit that we have a lot of choices for what I have seen. I would like a French translation to remove even more pleasure and a Portage under Linux would be really great. This little gem is going to join my favorite game list. Congratulations to the designers for this little gem.
