About

Following years of strife, what remains of the Reef has fallen to lawlessness. You and Cayde-6 are sent to personally investigate the recent unrest. Upon arrival, you soon discover the most-wanted criminals in the Prison of Elders have organized an escape. Beyond the Vanguard’s authority, you’ll pursue these fugitives deep into the Reef. Explore new regions, awaken new powers, earn powerful weapons, and uncover long lost Awoken secrets. The hunt is on.

This screenshot I took in the first week of SotW probably is the most metal moment I've had in D2.

Made a SIVA Subclass because of the funnies. Might be unbalanced but I wanted to make a fun subclass.

Destiny 2: Forsaken reviews and comments

So so good, the sequel that the original game deserved.  Forsaken offers a lot of gear and goals to pursue and I honestly can't stop playing.  I don't think that most people would like it as much as I do, but I have to say I love it all the same.  I've put over 700 hours into this game and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

        Not what I was expecting.

The first level of the expansion was the best video game fun I had in years. But then, what I though was science fiction in original Destiny 2 turned out to be a piece of fantasy with demons, magic and a queen of elves. A lot of people are finding this shift to be great, but for me - a casual solo player who prefers science fiction over fantasy - this was "meh". It's a great expansion that provides a lot of fun, but not really was I was looking for personally.
While this expansion is not perfect, it brings enough content and quality-of-life changes that the games feel a lot more enjoyable now. I've already spent more than a month playing it for ~15-25 hours a week and I'm still coming back.
The story is way more focused and concise, the new locations are great, there is stuff to grind, and things to achieve, which is basically what everyone was asking for. Suddenly the playerbase complains about gun X being too powerful and not about boredom, which is a great sign!

And with the latest in-game event - "Festival of the Lost" Bungie has again proven that it can listen to player feedback and improve things - the event is way more fun than any other one so far, IMHO.

So, to summarize - a great update that is totally worth checking out if you hesitated to try Destiny 2, or dropped it after release. You can also come and play the event if you only have the base game to see how it feels now.
